  Even with the cloudy weather, and seeing the storms afar, the landscape and the views in general were amazing. The biodiversity of the area is immense, ranging from the biggest animals to the smallest critters and the plants. The guide did a wonderful job explaining everything and answering every question.   Fun time, albeit We got soaked and were very cold because of a rain storm. The crew anticipated this and handed out rain ponchos to everyone who wanted one. Lots of hippos and crocs.

  An animal filled sunset tour. We saw many elephants, crocodiles, Cape buffalo, antilope and giraffe. Also excellent for bird spotters. Our guide, AK, was very knowledgeable on all wildlife we saw, which gave the experience further depth. Would 100% recommend to do this activity while staying in Kasane.

  Difficult communication, late pickup, no water on a 3 hour trip at 39 C degrees, max group size was advertised as 10, but there where 16 people on the boat. Do not book...

  I did 4 boat trips on the Chobe river in September 2023, and had some amazing experiences, especially seeing elephants swim across the river at sunset. This October (including a drought) I was hoping for more of the same, but better. Unfortunately the 40 degree temperatures drove elephants down to the river earlier, so by 3pm most had already left, and there was no food left on the islands to entice them to stay longer. So very disappointing for photography. My lodge gave me a budget boat trip of P300 + P150 entrance fee for SADC members. Unfortunately the boat was extremely croweded, and most people boozed a lot so they were extremely loud and disruptive. Had the same experience last year too. How to avoid this? I don't know! Maybe pay more for a more sophisticated environment?

  Operator showed up on time and took us to the boat area where we boarded and set off. Cold water was provided as were life jackets. Our guided was knowledgeable and responsive to everyone and their questions. He kept us safe and worked hard to show us elephants/hippos/crocodiles/various bird species/impalas/water iguana and more. The sunset alone was worth the money. We are so happy for having taken this cruise. In fact, we are taking it again tonight!! Highly recommend.

  Elephants and the abundance of wildlife. It was very relaxing and the sunset was glorious. We also enjoyed it from the perspective of the water. Hippos and buffaloes put on a good show too!
