What To Expect

Making your own chopsticks in Sapporo! Experience flow 1. Choose Your Wood Select your favorite type of wood. Each variety has unique colors and textures, giving your chopsticks their own character. 2. Introduction & Preparation Receive a short explanation about the tools and process from the instructor. 3.Shaping the Chopsticks Use planes to shape the wood into your desired form. 4. Sanding Smooth the surface with sandpaper for a comfortable. 5. Finishing with Oil Apply natural oil to enhance the color and protect the wood. 6. Finish Your chopsticks are ready to take home! Important Information Please wear comfortable clothes. During the activity, wood chips and dust may fly around. We recommend wearing clothing suitable for getting messy. Aprons are provided. While we take every precaution, we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur during the experience.

Such a great experience. Erica was so lovely and helpful. We went in the evening and it was just the two of us with Erica. She was very friendly though and we had a great time.

My wife and I had a great experience making chopsticks. Erika was very helpful and attentive. I asked questions throughout the process and had Erika check my progress along the way. Great experience! Erika was patient and thorough in her explanation of how to make the chopsticks. Some history would be nice while carving to fill the space. Definitely recommended!
