What To Expect
H2o Adventures Rafting And Tubing
Dropping a stunning 100 feet per mile, just 40 minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park, breathes the start of Costa Rica’s best commercial whitewater adventure. Chorro section starts in the mountain village of Esquipulas. Our route carves deep into the river’s exposed bedrock, making this thrilling section of the Naranjo River an exception to the geological youth of Costa Rica. This 3km canyon delights the adventure seeker with fun drops and steep runs through 12 technical narrows. January is the high water month. Lots of thrills! In February the river runs at medium level. March and April the rapids become steep and technical. Never a dull moment. Paddle Hard! Get down…Hi Five!! Be ready!! to bounce and squeeze through the gorge’s tight rock walls, maneuver and carve around massive boulders and bends, and sweep down drops through challenging unforgettable chutes. Dragon’s Tail, Chorro Rapid and Stacy’s Lament are some of the challenges that you will paddle through.

5.00I had never been rafting before and so was a little nervous but - WOW, what a great time! As much as it was exhilarating, I felt safe and totally taken care of by the very experienced guides. Overall every moment of the experience was A++ and I couldn't recommend H20 Adventures more!

5.00This was my first time white water rafting and I had no idea what to expect. I was very nervous going in. And I was right to be. It’s a serious river! Not for the faint of heart! But luckily the team at H2O Adventures is super conscious of everyone’s safety and needs! Our rafting guide was Tavo and he’s amazing!! He knew every single spot that we needed to get down or paddle more. And I may have been terrified during the first half of the river, but without him I think I would have fallen out! After the team stopped all our rafts over to the side for a snack, the rest of the river was smooth and much less stressful. I had a ton of fun on that part! I’m excited to bring my family back in the future!
10/10 white water rafting.

5.00Our family of 4 with two children, ages 12 and 14 enjoyed a white water rafting trip with H2O adventures. The office manager, Jonathan, was warm and patient as he answered all our questions and arranged the details of the trip. Our guides, Luis, Gustaf, and Landon, were friendly and experienced, ensuring that the trip was safe and incredibly fun. This was the perfect way to end our vscation!

5.00We had a fantastic time! My wife and I have never rafted before, but we are athletic. My wife was a bit concerned that it would be too much, but we both loved it! Our guide Luis was great! Very skilled and confident, full of knowledge and very entertaining. The views of the canyon and the jungle framing the river were beautiful. The rapids were exhilarating and lots of fun!

5.00This was an awesome & fun experience with our guides Tony, Felipe & Louis. The procedures & safety training was thorough & concise. Our family filled 3 rafts on a beautiful day in February. Fresh cut fruit, cookies & fresh pico w/chips & a beverage at river's edge was unexpected & a special touch. Being bussed to a nearby restaurant for lunch after leaving the river was such a nice addition to a top-notch tour. Would recommend this company to everyone that seeks to enjoy rafting & hospitality at it's finest.

5.00INCREDIBLE!! Where do I start? Luis and "Tippy" 😉 were our rafting guides. We've white water rafted many times before but this one was wild and over the top! Our guides and their most AMAZING team kept us safe and completely entertained. What a wonderful day! We will do this over and over again with H2O. The following day, Luis took us on a great mountain adventure that included 3 water falls, caves, diving/swimming, and fishing. He found a 3 toed sloth and cicada rain 😉. He set up a wonderful picnic on a rock in the middle of the river that was beautiful and delicious. We asked him to invite his family to join us that day and he brought along his young 8 year old son. Such an incredible, polite, adorable little dare devil. We sure enjoyed him. Thank you Luis! You went above and beyond.
