  We had a great guide for the day-Simon. We saw so many cool places in Christchurch that we would have missed on our own. The botanical gardens were beautiful. Definitely recommend this tour.

  Simon was on top of it from the first e mail on. He was so flexible working out a tour that saw some of the countryside and then also part of the city. He dealt well with all of us-especially myself who had been motion sick for several days. Gorgeous scenery, Good driving and time management. Wonderful microphone so we could all hear.   We were a group of nine friends. Simone picked us up at the cruise terminal (we were passengers of the Princess Royal Cruise). He toured us along the island's outskirts, offering breathtaking views of the island. What a magnificent geographic feature Christchurch has. Simone is awesome. He is super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and his tour company, Green Kiwi Tours.

He went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome, comfortable, and fully immersed in the sights and stories of the city. We loved the scenic drive around Lyttelton Harbour, taking in breathtaking coastal views. One of my favorite unexpected moments was enjoying a coffee at the historic Sign of the Kiwi Café, where we soaked in the views and atmosphere. As we explored key landmarks, including the fascinating Red Zone, which tells the story of the city’s resilience after the earthquake, we gained incredible insights into Christchurch’s past and present. We even popped over to Sumner Beach, where we explored the charming town and its historic sites.   Simon our tour guide was amazing. He took us to all the best places to see amazing views. We were dancing in town where there was a dance flat form. It was an amazing trip. Our full day excursion in Christchurch was a blast.

• Fantastic day in Christchurch

  Our second day in New Zealand was to Christchurch, and I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful stops on our journey. Our tour guide, Simon, from Green Kiwi Tours, gave us the royal treatment. From stunning views of the harbor and surrounding areas, to the carefully manicured botanical gardens, we were delighted with each stop. Simon was quick to adapt to our wants and needs and took us to a vibrant downtown market where we feasted on meat pies and chips for lunch. We capped off our journey by punting along the Avon river, a relaxing boat ride accompanied by a tour guide who guided us up and down the river, using a long pole, Venetian style. I highly recommend Green Kiwi Tours and Simon, the master tour guide! You won’t be disappointed.

  My entire group of six adults thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Christchurch with Simon. His love and knowledge of Christchurch and the surrounding area was obvious. We saw beautiful scenery, incredible views, learned a lot about the 2011 earthquake and its impact on Christchurch, and even got a quick and fun lesson on Māori culture. Simon was easy to communicate with and responsive from booking to pickup. He was even able to adjust our tour on the fly to accommodate some last-minute shopping we wanted to do. I highly recommend this tour and Simon as a tour guide.
