We highly recommend Andy! He was an exceptional guide. His knowledge of history and the way he shared events with us was very much appreciated. This tour covers a walking history tour as well as a tour through the war rooms. However, there is a lot to see and learn in the Churchill Museum, so I highly recommend either allowing time after the tour to view everything, or schedule a return trip to spend some time on your at the museum. Note: this is a walking tour, so ne prepared to be standing for the entirety of this tour.

I had the best guide of my entire vacation on this tour. Andy, Andy Andy!!! Absolutely fabulous. EXTREMELY knowledgeable and very passionate about the history of the War Rooms. I felt like I was back at college with level of knowledge and the depth provided by my guide. I was getting sick of tours for idiots. These room are not huge, yet I could have been there another 4 hours and still not heard enough.

A great glimpse into how the war was prepared for and run . No luxury here, just hard work and a barebones living setup. The maproom and the secret telephone system setup up in secret for Churchill and Roosevelt calls was amazing.

Can I only give this 5 stars? Our guide Sheldon made this a 100 out of 10 experience. A true small group tour, this provides time for questions and conversation. The subject of Churchill could fill a whole university course, yet Sheldon expertly weaves Churchill's personal experiences with the politics and history of England from the late 1800's through 1965. We learned about the man, the country and the turn of events which forged Churchill into the iconic British leader he became. The war rooms themselves are a marvel and have been meticulously preserved. We loved Sheldon's passion, his humor and his great reading recommendations. Please make sure this tour is on your must do list.
