Next, visit Monterosso, the largest village, famous for its golden sandy beaches, artisan shops, and lively seaside promenade.
Your adventure continues to Riomaggiore, the southernmost village, with its steep cliffs, cascading colorful houses, and cozy streets filled with cafés and local treats.
Weather permitting, you’ll also have the option to take a ferry boat ride along the Cinque Terre coastline, enjoying breathtaking views of the five villages from the water.
In the afternoon, travel to Pisa and explore the Piazza dei Miracoli, home to the world-famous Leaning Tower. Upgrade to skip the lines and climb to the top of the Leaning Tower.

Along the way, you’ll hear about the charming Tuscan city of Lucca and its famous native, Puccini, and catch distant views of the renowned Carrara marble quarries. You’ll also be introduced to Cinque Terre and its five picturesque fishing villages—Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore—that together make up this beautiful national park. Once you arrive in La Spezia, your expert tour leader will greet you and guide you through the next part of your trip. He made the most of our day and made us feel like we saw it all! Lucca is a hidden gem full of old world style and charm! Highly recommend this tour and Alex!

5.00We spent a good half a day with Stephano, and he was extremely personable. He filled the day with history and stories. He dove into details about lots of things and helped us learn a lot more about Pisa and Lucca. Also, in the van he told us many stories and useful information about the places we were passing by. Great tour overall! Highly recommended!

5.00I can’t say enough great things about this excursion. We thoroughly enjoyed Pisa and Lucca. From the start we felt informed and never confused about the meeting location, which can be stressful especially if you are unfamiliar with an area. Everything was communicated and it was done so in a timely fashion. The climb up the tower was timed so we didn’t have to stand in line too long. Lucca is so quaint. It was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Florence. The best part of the tour was our guide Stefano! He was knowledgeable and patient and kind. He walked us through both places. He made recommendations and waited patiently for us at meeting points. I can’t say enough good things about him and this trip. Thank you for an amazing day!
