Jam packed day but we got to see all five towns and had a hike too! Really communicative guides, great expectation setting and overall lovely experience! It was a nice surprise to have the option of a two course lunch trying the traditional cuisine of the area (cost 15 euros extra)!

This was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Still in complete awe of what we got to see and do during that 14 hours... it doesn't even seem like real life! The folks I went with and I kept looking at each other like....... HOW IS THIS REAL! Claudia, Chris and Christian were the absolute BEST guides, they gave us so much information, were so fun and knowledgeable and really brought life to the tour. They gave clear direction the whole time, which kept everything running very smoothly! There's never confusion about where you need to be or when you need to be there. Rain or shine, I recommend doing this tour. It rained for a bunch of the day while we were there, and we were still able to enjoy the hike (slippery but definitely doable and worth it) and quite honestly, I barely even remember the rain! The food, the views, the fun all overshadows that part! I travel quite a bit and take a lot of tours like this..... this one might be the best I've ever gone on. Thank you!

If you can only do a day tour, this is the one to do!! Anything less than what this tour offers and you won’t be able to see enough. I was lucky enough to have Chris x2 and Claudia as our groups tour guides and they were amazing! So kind, informative and really made you feel immersed in the culture. The day was closer to 14 hours, about 30,000 steps without even doing the hike option. The hike option was allowed to be decided while on the trip which was nice because I had previously decided to do it, but it had rained the first couple hours of the tour and then became a bit unsafe so I decided to back out and have more time to explore the town. Highly recommend!!

Totally agree with Kelly B November 2025. We were able to reschedule without difficulty our reservation from our original rainy day to a sunny day earlier which was a blessing. We had a beautiful hike with sunshine and even the boat trip. Perfect day.

The bus ride to LA Spezia was great. Good info and pleasant guides. Before getting on the bus we walked a long way to a second meeting place to find the bus. During the walk some of got temporarily separated a traffic but were eventually able to catch up. A single meeting place with the walk would be much better and safer rather than crossing a rather busy street. At the train station we were taken to a train that was about to leave the platform, rushed onto a full car, given a ticket for the remainder of the days train rides through Cinque Terre and told to find a seat. Any empty seats were far enough from our tour guide for us to loose any visual site of him or anyone else on the tour. Because of this we either got off at the wrong stop or just lost the guide in the dense crowd when we got off. We walked around the town looking for the tour but never found our guide of anyone who knew where he might be. All the while it was raining hard so we returned to the station and took it to the next stop hoping to find our tour. We never did find them. We kept going until we found Corniglia. The rain had stopped and someone we met told us how to use the bus to get up to the town rather than climbing 370 steps, where we had lovely lunch by ourselves. Around 5:30 we went back to the La Spezia station to find the bus back and our group. No luck since there was an issue with the trains. All were late or cancelled. Our original tour took a different train to a new location for the bus. I found a way to get internet access and called Walkabout Tours. The person tried to be helpful but because of the tour using a new pickup location due to a train cancellation issue we never did find them again. Walkabout told us to use the train to get back to Florence. Fortunately that worked. We arrived back in Florence close to 11PM. We had make our own Cinque Terre tour, we saw some things and did have a nice lunch but it was not what we expected or paid for. Some more attention to participants when there are few seats on the train and additionally checking the group at the first village would be helpful in the future. Unfortunately it was not the wonderful tour we anticipated.

We did the day tour to Cinque Terre with the optional stop in Pisa, with Walkabout tours. Our tour guide was Ado and he was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and funny and was very accommodating with questions and such. The towns were beautiful and our tour included and cruise from Monterosso to Riomaggiore. Seeing the towns from the water provided a much better viewpoint of the towns. I highly recommend the cruise. The stop in Pisa didn't disappoint either. The tower is as advertised and we enjoyed taking all the mandatory pictures. The day was long but the information about the towns we passed on our bus journey was very interesting which made the time pass quickly. We passed the town of Carrara, which is where the marble comes from. I highly recommend the tour and Ado was an exceptional guide.

I did a day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre with my senior mom, which could’ve been really stressful considering all of the moving parts required. Our host, JoJo, made it so I didn’t have to worry about anything. She did an amazing job giving us the guidance we needed every step of the way, all while giving us the freedom to do our own thing.
