They do the bare minimum of a tour. Little information about the touristic points and do not have a good organization.

Beware of this provider!! We wanted to buy a hop-on-hop-off ticket at the Walk of Fame, and there we were approached by a mobile seller. After we had ordered 2 tickets and completed the payment process, suddenly his device "stopped working" and could not print any tickets. He took us to his supervisor, from whom we were supposed to receive new tickets. This person repeated the process on his device and assured us that the previous transaction had not been charged, as the device was defective. 2 days later, we noticed that the amount of 100 dollars had been charged twice. Despite multiple emails, this company has gone silent, with no response whatsoever. Then the question arises whether there is intent to deceive tourists here...... Regarding the tour itself: According to the seller, the tour was supposed to start at 11 AM, but the bus arrived at 11:10 AM and ultimately started at 12 PM. The bus does not even stop at half of the advertised stops, the commentary is vague and hard to understand, and the bus driver is unfriendly. Conclusion: We were cheated out of 100 dollars and received one of the worst city tours we have ever taken.

Very great experience, I really love the upper deck seat during our tour. Price is very worth it and we enjoyed a lot with the places we visited. I'm with my mother and she is very happy with the tours + drivers are very kind and helpful. Crowd is much but I can say that lines are being handled well. Definitely will visit this June with my father as well!

We had a wonderful experience with City Sightseeing. The city looked beautiful from the upper deck and we took some amazing photos along the way. The flexibility to explore at our own pace made the day much more enjoyable. Ps. Bring a camera or keep your phone charged, definitely worth it..! the views are worth capturing.

It was a great way to explore the city. The buses were comfortable, easy to find, and made getting around very convenient. We especially enjoyed listening to the audio guide while taking in the sights, as it provided interesting background information about many of the landmarks. The hop-on, hop-off system gave us the flexibility to spend as much time as we wanted at each stop and continue our journey whenever we were ready. It was a relaxing and enjoyable way to discover the city without worrying about transportation. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend City Sightseeing to anyone looking for an easy and enjoyable way to see the highlights of the city.

Not the best city tours, grumpy monosyllabic drivers and dispatchers. The only friendly staff were the sales people. Red tour- the commentary was switched off for half of the stops, didn’t mention stop 7 which was a crucial one for switching to Santa Monica tour. I only realised we had missed half of red tour when did it again next day to get to stop 7 for yellow tour. Day 2 red bus driver was very helpful and friendly. Yellow tour - driver not too bad, bus was ancient. Several numbers in the commentary didn’t line up with the map Purple tour - another monosyllabic driver and numbers not lining up between commentary and map. Live tracking wasn’t working/turned on. One good point about the yellow tour was that the driver stopped at every single stop which didn’t happen with the other ones. The dispatcher at the desk (between CVS and Target) didn’t even look up from his phone when asked for help. We eventually found a leaflet with the times throughout the day but nobody seemed too keen to share this info, I even emailed and got first and last buses but not the services throughout the day. Having just come from San Fran where we did similar city tours with different hop on hop off company, their drivers and dispatchers were very friendly, and City Sightseeing really could up their game.

We would not book this tour again. The bus driver seemed very unmotivated and did not stop at any of the designated stops – except at the major transfer points. That is exactly the purpose of a hop-on-hop-off tour. We missed our stop and had to remind him several times to stop at the next stop. The buses have also aged significantly. The information in the audio guide seems to be at least 20 years old. Moreover, one can only sit on the upper deck, as the lower level is completely taped off. We had booked the ticket for all routes in one day. In practice, however, this is hardly feasible, as some lines only start at 10 AM and the last round already runs around 4 PM. All in all, the tour is not worth the 50 dollars.

Not having been to Los Angeles before we booked the 48hr pass to get our bearings and see what was what. The 3 main loops are very useful covering the Hollywood area, Downtown, and Santa Monica/Venice beach. We used Starline because they had the additional Downtown loop that Big Bus didn't provide, however, in comparison the buses were far more infrequent, of an inferior quality, and a bit patchy as to whether the headphones and commentary worked. The staff tended to be quite grumpy and unhelpful. The buses didn't run anywhere near the supposed timetable but you can keep track of them via the real-time app. Despite this it is a good way to see the various areas of LA and would therefore recommend. Just be aware customer service and provision is below some of the alternatives but you do get a better coverage of the whole LA area.

The bus’ top deck is very dirty, old and extremely uncomfortable. The windshield is filthy with limited visibility if you want a front row seat. There is hardly any legroom for adults, leaving your legs trapped and squeezed in between seats which are dated and out of shape. The headphones were useless because the radio was broken and we learned almost nothing about where we were or the history of what we were seeing. The routes were very limited. I’ve been on many city sightseeing buses throughout many cities including internationally, and the buses in Los Angeles were horrible, the worst bus experience by far. Pretty embarrassing. Tourists near me were also more than displeased.

This was a bus ride. The recorded audio was terrible, hard to hear and would cut out often. There was no instructions as to how to find the bus you should take or where the stop is you would need to exit or transfer. If you don’t know the area, you don’t know when to get off the bus or what is there to see. We wanted to go to Santa Monica Pier and by the time we figured out how to get there, we had 45 minutes there. We were told to get on the next bus, which we did, but the next bus wasn’t the bus that went to Santa Monica Pier. We spent 3 hours driving around downtown LA. We didn’t know you had to look for the appropriate color for the bus, just that it was the next one. Unless you know how to ride these and don’t need any audio on what’s around, I don’t recommend this tour. It’s poorly run and too confusing and took the entire day
