What To Expect
Petrusse Casemates
We drive along the Petruss Casemates, the ruins of the medieval fortress of Luxembourg. These Casemates are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. They date back to the time when the Spanish modernized the medieval fortifications and built large bastions such as the Bastion Beck, on whose plateau lies the present Constitution Square. They have been open to the public since 1933.
During the city train ride, participants will pass the made of glass panoramic lift in the old town of Pfaffenthal.

2.00Waited on one of the main stopping points (on the bridge). Train shows up a few minutes behind schedule, no problem there. All together I think we're about 8 or so waiting to get on. People come off the train and the driver tells us to get on the next train (just pulling up behind). Only they both take off without any of us. Didn't have the patience to wait another half an hour....

4.00Nice round trip, but tight seats. Great way to see the lower city, especially if you have walking difficulties it is otherwise not doable given the large height differences. Upper town is compact and fairly flat.
