The Brickhouse Inn, formerly the Old Welty House, played a pivotal role during the Battle of Gettysburg, serving as a vantage point for Confederate sharpshooters who occupied its second floor and attic. Today, the lingering spirits of these soldiers are said to haunt the inn, their presence a chilling reminder of the fierce conflict that once raged there.
The Witness Tree along Baltimore Street in Gettysburg stands as a silent sentinel to the brutal fighting that occurred during the Battle of Gettysburg. Maria was very friendly and a good storyteller. Our final stop revealed a visitor watching from up on the 2nd floor at the house next door.

Great tour with Jim as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and shared some other fun facts about Gettysburg. We used a EMF reader and got some activity on Cemetery Hill across from the Orphanage. Was a fun experience with my 12 year old son. Thanks again!
