If your ship is stopping at Kochi Port and you are looking for a private shore excursion, look no further than this tour .We will pick you up from Kochi Port and will drop you back in evening by 5:30 near your ship.
Please note that you will be provided with a trusted driver who can communicate with you and understand English and he will pick you up from Ship in a private vehicle and will drop you back as well. This individual is not a guide.
Enjoy a private, seven hour houseboat day cruise in Alleppey or Kumarakom with Kerala lunch, tea, and snacks. Along the way you'll also behold sights of backwater village life and a number of activities. While on the cruise, enjoy Kerala food on a banana leaf for lunch from our Chef and dine on traditional Kerala snacks in the evening like banana fritters and sukhiyan.

5.00My husband and I heard about iris holidays from another holiday-maker in our hotel, on her recommendation. She gave us the number of Arun, one of the managers, who was contactable on whatsapp. He was prompt in his replies after we told him what he wanted. Within 12 hours he had put together a package of precisely what we wanted. We were picked up at our hotel, the Ramada in Kochi (a hotel which we wouldn’t recommend) and driven to Alleppey by a kind, friendly and safe driver. On arrival we were greeted by the captain who walked us to the boat from the car (a 1 minute walk on a footpath). The boat was fantastic- in good condition, not too noisy, with good air conditioning, a bedroom, bathroom, dining room and open air balcony. We had the whole boat to ourselves at the reasonable cost of around £140. The chef on board cooked us a delicious lunch. We spent 5 hours on the boat and were able to see the beautiful back waters and it’s wildlife, before being transferred back to our car and back to our hotel. All the timings were spot on as quoted, our driver even arrived early in the morning (basically unheard of in India!) and everything went exactly as planned and advertised. Thanks for a great trip.

5.00Iris tours were 1st class with this trip They provided all the details to me and were available on-the phone for any questions we had The driver they provided was the best we have met so far in years (Soji) he was polite and courteous all the way until he dropped us off the hotels were all nice and clean We all enjoyed the experience!

5.00My 67-year old mother was visiting me in India and I wanted to explore Kerala with her. Shiji, our tour operator, managed to tailor a package for us that showcased different aspects of ‘God’s Own Country’ but wasn’t too hard on the feet. We saw the city delights and history of Kochi, the art and agriculture in the hills of Munnar and the backwaters of Alleppey via houseboat and hotel on ancestral land. Our driver Jude was funny and kind and took great care to ensure we got to do everything we wanted. All in all a lovely trip - thank you Shiji, Jude and Iris Holidays!

5.00We booked 5d/6n holiday package with IRISH HOLIDAY with gentleman Mr Arun was corresponding with me. He brilliantly handled all my curiosity of Kerala flood as my trip was just after the devastating flood.@ Kochi Airport we were picked up my Mr. George Vergeese, we were like getting a person who was all for us- A friend , A guide and last a Driver of my trip. We were feeling relaxed because of assurity derived from Mr. Vargese Behavior. Our visit to Munnar, Thekkady, Allepey and Kochi totally remarkaable......a treasure of life memory we gathered .. reaally loved kerala and its people

5.00We went for 5 days trip after the flood in sep...And yes we were concerned about after flood situation as we were travelling with a toddler.. but the hospitality and environment seem so good that you cnt assume flood passed by last month(expect some locations)..Things are in good shape now. About Iris holidays- The representative is very helping,, answer all your queries ..You can trust the updation and information shared by them..customized the itinerary according to our necessity. 5.00My wife and I did a tour from Trivandram to Allepey to Marari beach to Thekkady to Pallivasal to Munnar to Fort Kochi over a weeks time. IRIS travels did a great job co-ordinating all the arrangements. IRIS provided a very friendly and personal customer experience. There were no hiccups at all.

5.00We did a five day tour of Munnar, Thekkady, Allepey and Kochi. Our driver throughout the tour was Akash Kochi, Akash, was great, very knowledgable about the area and showed us all the sights, continually changing the itinerary to suit out needs. The roads are a little tricky but Akash driving was adapted. Highlights of the trip was the House Boat in Allepey, we had a fantastic boat. Food on the boat was also great. The tea plantations in Munnar were also great too see. If we were arranging the trip again we may have given Thekkady a miss, not a great deal there, the boat trip in Periyar wasn't really worthwhile.

5.00We did a private excursion with Iris Holidays to the backwaters with a tour of the main sites of Cochin. They were very easy to work with and provided a very comfortable bus for the long ride. That really made it nice, the houseboat on the backwaters was very clean and the lunch was really good and plentiful. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area with a lot of energy. I would definitely recommend them and feel free to reach out with any questions.
