We invite you to discover Cartagena through the aromas and flavors of Colombian coffee. We will walk together through the charming cobblestone streets of Cartagena’s old city, as we share stories about our colonial past, the Afro-Caribbean heritage and the traditions that give life to our culture.
Along the way we will discover vibrant alleys and different specially selected spaces, where we will make stops to prepare and taste different coffee methods. In each place we will explore a different technique French press, manual and espresso filtering learning how each method highlights aromas, textures and unique notes of the Colombian grain.
Between history, culture and colorful landscapes, you will live a complete sensory experience: the sound of the city, the aroma of freshly ground coffee and the deep flavor of its varieties. More than a tour, it is an experience that unites tradition, learning and the authentic spirit of Cartagena.

What To Expect
We will meet in a beautiful corner of the Walled City, where we will begin this great adventure between aromas, colors and history. We will explore local coffee shops and discover different types of Colombian coffee as we walk through Cartagena’s most picturesque colonial streets, perfect for photos and to learn about the city’s culture and history. You will live a special coffee class where you will know the complete process: from the plant and harvest, to the roasting and the preparation methods. You will learn to taste like an expert, identifying unique aromas and notes in an unforgettable sensory experience. The best thing: you will have the opportunity to prepare your own Colombian coffee method, guided by passionate baristas who will share with you secrets and techniques to achieve a perfect cuppa. More than a tour, it is a cultural immersion where the flavors of coffee blend with the magic of the streets of Cartagena.

5.00I couldn't speak more highly of this experience. We booked very last minute and had measured expectations. There was no need to have had lower or measured expectations! Our guide, Shay, contacted us with a photo and meeting details which made the start a breeze. She shared a wealth of facts and context which made the whole idea of coffee more interesting. There were 3 stops and each was at a local, independent shop with pleasant staff. This was a meaningful and worthwhile two hours during our Cartagena trip!

5.00Excellent! Especially Mafe, our guide who made the activity very dynamic and interesting. It is possible to try different varieties of Coffee and in different places where the history and production process is known. It is a different and special way to approach the culture and diversity of a country as interesting as Colombia.

5.00Our family loved this experience. It is in a nice dining room off the street level. We showed up early and they arranged to start early to accommodate us. Alejandra was so knowledgeable about the fruits and shared her personal experiences as a child trying these fruits. She knew all the various ways to enjoy them. The ice cream making was fun too
