Coffee Tour Experience
Begin your journey in the charming town of San Pedro Las Huertas, where we’ll visit the central park and observe the traditional pila (public laundry), still used daily by local families. From there, we walk toward the foothills of the majestic Agua Volcano, surrounded by lush landscapes and authentic rural life.
Along the way, you’ll explore coffee plantations and also learn about other crops and wild plants that thrive in this fertile volcanic soil. With a local small-scale farmer, you’ll discover the artisanal process of coffee—from seed to cup—participating in every step. You’ll roast, grind, and finally taste a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee that you helped prepare.
To end the experience, you’ll have the unique opportunity to purchase coffee directly from the producer, supporting local families and sustainable community growth.

It’s a nice little hike to a coffee plantage where you can see different plants of the surrounding area on the way. You will get to know the process of coffee production from seat to bean!

Highly recommended. Unforgettable truck trip up the Volcan de Aqua with guide Axel and coffee farmer Mr. Filiberto to see his plants and learn about his business. Down the mountain, we stopped to roast and drink coffee with Mr. Filiberto’s daughter. Kudos to Axel for sponsoring a tour that directly supports local coffee farmers.

Very knowledgeable guide and host. Seeing the process from seed to actually roasting our own coffee was very memorable and I’d recommend this to anyone who is interested in a wholesome experience.

Easily one of the most engaging, interesting, and thoughtful experiences we had in Guatemala. Delmy and Cristobal are highly knowledgeable and kind. This was definitely worth every penny. We learned so much about the coffee farming and preparation process and even got a sense of adventure riding in the back of the pickup truck up those steep mountain roads. Wonderful and authentic experience all around.

The coffee plantation tour was an amazing experience! Never knew how much went into harvesting coffee. I appreciate all the hands that work so hard for this amazing beverage. Axel our tour guide along with Cristobal the owner of the plantation gave an excellent and informative tour. We ended our tour at Cristobal's sister's home where they showed us how to grind and brew coffee without modern conveniences. Coffee was delicious!

I had such a great time on this tour. Axel, the guide, was absolutely amazing. He had so much knowledge about the area, the nature, the people, etc. I learned so much from him and laughed a lot with him. Marta, the plantation owner was so sweet and nice. She taught me so many interesting facts about growing and producing coffee. She opened her home to us for such an amazing and special experience. Axel and Marta were both incredible, went over the top, and provided such a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Axel (tour guide) was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable about the area and made me feel right at home. We visited a nearby coffee farm (a bit of a trek up) with a local farmer, Marta, and learned about the coffee growing and production process. We finished the tour with a lovely artisanal roast and delicious cup of coffee at Marta’s home. Was such a lovely experience and learned a lot!

This tour felt so personal and educational. We loved learning about the town, the impact of coffee on Mayan people and how much work goes into making coffee.
