Immerse yourself in Costa Rica’s storied coffee tradition on the Diría Coffee Tour, with flexible arrival options to suit your needs. Choose to self-arrive at the beautifully restored Chorotega farmhouse—ideal for independent travelers—or add round-trip transportation from Sámara or Puerto Carrillo for a seamless experience.
Upon arrival, you’ll step into a traditional Chorotega house and learn how pre-Columbian farming legacies shaped today’s coffee culture. Wander through sun-lit drying patios, inspect pulping and roasting machinery, and compare raw versus freshly roasted beans as they crackle in small-batch roasters. Engage all your senses during a guided tasting (“cupping”) of single-origin coffees, evaluating aroma, body, acidity, and finish.
Whether you arrive under your own steam or relax on a comfortable shuttle, this enriching tour delivers hands-on learning, cultural insights, and genuine Pura Vida hospitality—leaving you with a deeper appreciation for every cup you sip.

Maria has been amazing to help me booking while I was on the road and Ricardo was very funny guiding us all day. Amazing day, don't hesitate to book! The zipline guarantees spectacular views and adrenaline, but kids can do it. The bridges are worth it too. The place is beautiful, sunset breathtaking ... big plus: the wifi in the bus.

We joined the day tour to Monteverde with the Monkey Tours from the Playa Samara Las villas, it took about 3 hours and 5o minutes with a coffee stop at Limonal, where you will see the Macaws on top of the trees. then several towns along the zigzag road dirt road to the Sky walk experience. The tour guide Mr Francisco is the best, fluent english explaining the Rainforest along 5 hanging bridges atop 1000 ft from the ground. Be careful walking in the bridges for it swings, We saw the blue butterflies, blue beetles, a millipede smelling like marzipan on its belly, a tarantula in its hole, a golf fruits, giant avocados, howling monkeys, a walking stick mantis, and lots more waling for 1 hour and a half. rest for half hours then to the most exciting exhilarating zip line. it is a 7 stations platform going down from the top of 5000 ft mountain after taking the Gondola going up. from there you will be seeing the Arenal lake and sea of clouds. There is no turning back once you are on the third platform, make sure you follow the instructions of the guide. after the zipline, bonus one second bungee jump down to see your beautiful photos, (you can do videos with your celphones, the best when you are couples. the greatest experience of my life doung the zipline on top of the rainforest, spectacular views) . Lunch at Sta Elena town, 3 minutes from the sky walk. We ate at the Mar y Tierra restaurant, at the center of the town ordering the Beef or the chicken lunch ( it includes Rice beans, salads, drinks, and desserts, the shrimp and rice is good). then the Herpnentarum, a museum of snakes, frogs lizards. then back to Samara. Great day.
