The masterclass takes place in a former cognac storage of a cognac estate transformed into a guest mansion, located in the heart of the vineyard near the village of Segonzac, the capital city of the Grande Champagne, 15 minutes drive away from the town of Cognac.

A workshop completely independent from any famous Cognac trading house or family estate
The workshop takes place in a dedicated room, a former conac storage

What To Expect
The distillery is located in the vineyard, between the villages of Segonzac and Saint-Preuil, nestled in the heart of the vineyard of cognac where are located wine estates of two famous cognac brands, Rémy Martin and Hennessy. The Romanesque church is also worth a look.

5.00The class gives you a great summary of how cognac making came to the region, the grape varieties and the process for making cognac. It also covers the topics of aromas and the development of flavours as the cognac ages. You then get to try three cognacs from the same maker of different ages to compare how the aroma and taste changes. The presenter is very knowledgeable and a nice guy. A very pleasant and worthwhile afternoon.

If you knew little about cognac...you will walk out knowing more about cognac, the region and how to drink the smooth caramel color deliciousness.
