We booked because it said it would be held in Siena proper, but this class was about a 30 min car ride away. That’s quite alright because our teacher’s husband kindly offered to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. The setting was beautiful so we were happy to see the Tuscan countryside and to be in a home rather than a restaurant or cooking school. My son (14) and I were the only students this day and Genny made us feel very welcome in her home. We learned how to make pasta from scratch—tagliatelle and spinach-stuffed ravioli, plus a tiramisú. It was quite easy to follow all the steps and we felt very successful. Nothing was too hard and Genny helped when needed. She had already prepared one sauce made from canned fresh tomatoes from her garden which was spectacular. The other sauce (for the ravioli) was made from butter, cheese and fresh sage from her garden. Also great. We then sat together and ate where the hospitality continued. We tried two kinds of Tuscan pecorino, homemade bread, delicious wine, and vin santo with the tiramisù which was such a treat. All more than we expected. If you have a free morning or afternoon to pass in Siena I highly recommend this class. (Also to note: I am a very experienced cook and thought the level of the class would be perfect for absolute beginners/teens learning to cook.)

We had the most amazing experience with our hosts, Antonella and Fabio, in their gorgeous home! They were gracious and fun hosts and we enjoyed the cooking experience and the eating that followed. We made hand rolled pasta (pici), a tomato soup (pappa al pomodoro) and tiramisu! They also sent us the recipes so we could make these dishes beech home! We would highly recommend this experience!

We had an incredible experience with a fantastic family. Learning to cook pasta and other dishes in their home was truly fascinating. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and we cherished every moment spent with them. One of our guests had to leave early, and the host’s husband kindly offered her a ride back to the hotel. This activity is a must-do when visiting Siena. It was the perfect way for our group to kick off our family trip to Italy.

This was an amazing experience! Enza was wonderful! We could not have asked for a better cooking class! Not only was it fun and engaging, the food was perfect. This was the highlight of our stay in Siena. We can’t wait to make pasta and tiramisu when we get home!

My wife and I loved this experience! Our host was a wonderful cook. She made five different pastas and Taramisu. It was great fun, instructive, and a great lunch. We just wish our daughters had been with us. I guess we’ll have to come back.
