Hop on your bike and ride into the neighborhoods where Copenhagen's food scene actually happens. This tour takes you through Vesterbro and Nørrebro, past Kødbyen, the Carlsberg Brewery, and Torvehallerne, the market hall at the heart of Copenhagen's new food culture.
You'll stop at five handpicked spots beloved by locals: freshly baked Wienerbrød, proper Copenhagen ice cream, an extraordinary craft beer, and a sit-down plate of smørrebrød with homemade snaps to finish. Your guide brings it all to life with food history and insider knowledge that only a local can offer. Every stop is vegan and vegetarian friendly, with flexible options for meat and fish eaters.
This is a 3.5-hour ride through real neighborhoods, with five tastings spanning traditional and contemporary cuisine, insider tips along the way, and enough culinary history to explain how a small Nordic city became one of the world's most exciting places to eat.

I really enjoyed the overall experience of the tour. The combination of smørrebrød, ice cream, pastries, and beer worked really well and gave a nice variety of local flavors. The places we visited were interesting and felt well chosen, which made the tour engaging from start to finish. One small thing regarding the food: I felt like the smørrebrød portion could be a bit more generous, as there wasn’t quite enough for everyone to fully enjoy. A practical suggestion would be to bring a knife or provide one, as it would make it easier to cut and share the pastries. It would also be great to provide each participant with a small bottle of water before starting the tour, especially in summer when it can get quite hot. Adding bottle holders to the bikes would also be a very helpful improvement. I also think it’s a very good idea to include a brief introduction to cycling rules and hand signals at the beginning, as some tourists may not be familiar with them. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend it!

I had an amazing time on the food tour with Jörn! Especially the last stop with the smørrebrød was very tasty, but all the other food stops, like the ice cream and the traditional Danish pastry, were also absolutely delicious. Everything was great, and Jörn gave us a lot of insights into the more local areas of Copenhagen. Highly recommended!

I did the food bike tour with Tropical Bikes and it was honestly one of the best ways to experience Copenhagen. Jörn, our guide, made a huge difference. He’s super knowledgeable but in a very relaxed and engaging way, so it felt more like biking around with a local than being on a formal tour. He mixed history, food, and little insights about the city really naturally. The food stops were great, especially the smørrebrøds. Simple, but really well made and full of flavor. You get a good mix between traditional Danish food and more modern spots, so it feels like a real peek into the local food scene rather than just tourist highlights. Biking between locations also makes it more fun and gives you a better sense of the city. Would definitely recommend if you want something that combines good food, a bit of history, and seeing Copenhagen in a more local way.

Four hours went by so quickly with Jörn as our guide! He gave us such a great insight into the history of Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods and detailed knowledge about both traditional and modern Danish dishes. From beers to Smørrebrød, we’re very satisfied with the tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

A fun and engaging trip through some really great culture centers of Copenhagen! Our guide, Jörn, was charming and had a fantastic mix of city knowledge and personal anecdotes. Foodwise, my favorite bite was the shrimp salad at De Grønne Kutter at Torvehallerne.
