We booked the boat in boat out (2days, 1 night in the Sirena Ranger Station) Corcovado guided tour via Ely Lopez. His colleague José was our tour guide. He put a lot of effort into the game of spotting all different kinds of animals and explaining the interrelationship between the animals, forests, weather and us humans. We answered all our questions, spottet so many beautiful animals for us and also took pictures with our phones through his telescope for us. In general it was a great experience and the best guided tour we had in our costa rica trip. Thank you so much Ely and José. It's totally worth the time and price! We would totally recommend the tour. Best regards, Christina and Christopher

We had an absolutely amazing time in the Corcovado national park. José was our guide and he poured his whole heart into the tour and showing us as many animals as possible without disturbing them in their natural habitat. We ended up seeing tapirs, snakes, monkeys, macaws, sloths and much more! Definitely our highlight in Costa Rica. Thanks you Ely and José!

Ely is a terrific guide. Knows where to go and where to look for all things in the amazing National Park. Extremely personable and has "more than the tour" conversations.

Did the boat-in and hike-out tour (approx. 20 km) with Giovanny. It was a great but also exhausting experience. Giovanny was a fantastic guide! He explained a lot about Corcovado and Costa Rica, he had answers for pretty much any question that the group asked. The first day consisted of a few smaller 'hikes' around the park, where Geovanny was brilliant at spotting animals we wanted to see and you could tell how much he enjoyed his job. For the hike out we left the Ranger Station at around 5am to start our hike out, and arrived at Carate at 2pm. A tough hike through forest and across beaches, (the cold drinks waiting at the end was very appreciated!). Communication through Ely was really easy and straight forward, he made sure to let us know what we needed to bring in advance &double checked everything again the day beforehand.

We did the boot-in and hike-out tour (20 km) with Giovanny. It was a great but also exhausting experience. Giovanny was a great guide! He always explained in detail and put in a lot of effort so that we could see all the animals that live there. We left at 5 a.m. and arrived at our destination at 2 p.m., but this was also because we were looking for animals in between. But it will take 7 hours, because they are not paved paths. You also have to walk on the beach in the sun again and again, sometimes even long parts. We also had to cross a river high in the water. It was a very cool experience!

An amazing experience in Costa Rica. We were lucky enough to tour the wonderful Corcovado National Park and could not have had a better guide than José. Always attentive, close and willing to help us capture every special moment of the day. It was a round trip, from sunrise to sunset, surrounded by pure nature and observing many species of animals in their natural habitat. And as a snap, a refreshing swim in the Rio Claro in the middle of nature. Then sleep outdoors, protected only by a mosquito net, listening to the sounds of the night... just magical. A difficult experience to describe in words, intense and authentic. All thanks to the TalocoTours team, Jose and Ely, who made every detail perfect. No doubt I would repeat one and a thousand times. Fully recommended!

We had a fantastic day with our guide, Geovani! He met us at the dock, advised us to sit on right side, in the middle of the boat for better views & less of a rough ride. He got us through check-in efficiently and ahead of the people from the other boats. My husband & I were fortunate to have Geovani to ourselves, compared to some other tour groups with 8-10 people. He was very knowledgeable & interesting, took pictures through his scope for us, spoke very good English, and loved his job. We saw agoutis, coatis, caimans, toucans, macaws, great curassows, mot mots, a red-capped manakin (Michael Jackson bird), and howler, spider & squirrel monkeys. Corcovado park is amazing and has very few people admitted per day. We brought water slippers, as advised for the wet landing, but fairly secure flip flops would be fine. Communication was excellent with this company.
