1.00I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of our recent excursion booking during our first Mediterranean cruise, which was a special occasion celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We booked a snorkeling tour through your agency with high hopes, only to discover upon arrival that the tour extended well beyond our ship’s mandatory return time of 3:30 PM—ending after 5:00 PM. This critical scheduling conflict rendered us unable to participate and cost us $400. At the meeting point, the local staff attempted to contact Viator, but no constructive support was offered. We are currently trying to obtain a refund, but based on previous experience—specifically during our time in France when train strikes disrupted another tour, and Viator declined reimbursement—we have little confidence in a favorable resolution. This is not simply a case of poor coordination. It is a significant oversight that negatively impacted a once-in-a-lifetime celebration and left us with frustration and financial loss. I urge your agency to be far more diligent in vetting tour options against ship schedules and to ensure travelers are not placed in such untenable situations. I expect acknowledgment of this issue and a commitment to helping us receive proper compensation. More importantly, I hope you take steps to prevent this from happening to others in the future.
