What To Expect
Short on time but big on curiosity? This 90-minute walking tour is perfect for cruise passengers and day visitors who want to experience the very best of Corfu Old Town in just over an hour. First stop is the beautiful garden of the Durrells. Then admire the British Palace of St Michael and St George, relax in the flowering gardens and maybe even fall in love…it is the ultimate meeting place for lovers. Walk with us along the French street of Liston, the most popular pedestrian street of Corfu. Admire the imposing square with its many cafes and see the socialites enjoying their daily gossip. Admire the richly decorated Orthodox church of Agios Spyridon, the patron saint of Corfu and reportedly a miracle worker. Last stop is the Town Hall Square, the main square of the city during the 400 years as a Venetian protectorate. Admire Corfu’s unique baroque building, the San Giacomo, built in 1669 as a meeting hall for Venetian officials, and converted in 1720 into a lyrical theatre. All the great opera performances of Europe were presented here until 1903 when a larger theatre was built as the San Giacomo was not sufficient for the ever-increasing number of spectators.

5.00Magda was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to understand. She provided a great overview of Corfu old town. We had limited time between our ferry and our flight, and Corfuting was very accommodating, and met us on time at the designated meeting point. Very good communication via WhatsApp. Look forward to spending more time in Corfu, and more tours with Corfuing.

5.00Maria was our tour guide. She was very informative and friendly. It was great to hear about the history of Corfu town from somebody who had always lived there. Points of interest included the architecture throughout the ages, venetian, french, British. We visited palaces, churches and finished drinking ginger beer in a cute little cafe. Highly recommend this tour.
