We had a very informative guide. Our group was small (8 people) which was great as we could ask lots of questions and we were able to enjoy all the information we received. A truly amazing experience.

Really interesting experience, learned so much on the tour and cool that the whiskey and spirits are still made in Midleton! Gift shop is worth a visit too.

Pass the distillery a few times a week and never been in, but decided to do it over the Christmas holidays. It was very interesting and our tour guide Katie was very good. Really enjoyable

This was my second visit and it was a good as the first time as they changed it up a little. I simply love the Midleton experience with the history, my interest in whiskey making, and finally to the best part the tastings. The tour guide was very funny in the classic Irish way! I poured my own Distillery edition of Jamison Black Barrel straight from the barrel and bought a monogrammed bottle of Jamison Distillery limited edition Jamison as

Wonderful experience to learn or expand your whiskey knowledge. The staff was very knowledgeable, the place was absolutely fantastic and the tastings were delicious. I myself haven’t been a huge whiskey fan, but I can call myself one now.

I visited the distillery with my two sons (23 and 21) on a wet and windy Sunday. After a refuel in the well presented onsite coffee shop we joined only 4 other people on the midday tour. Katie the tour guide was excellent and gave us a fascinating trip around the distillery with a deep insight into the history and distilling process whilst keeping us out of the rain as much as possible. I especially loved hearing about the angel’s share and seeing the glass ended barrels to illustrate this. The tour finished with 3 tastings and a bonus whiskey at the bar for which we chose the refreshing Jameson Ginger and Lime which was super tasty. We then joined Tom for the premium whiskey tasting which was held in a stunning side room and he made the tasting informative and fun. The whiskey’s were amazing and I would highly recommend adding this to the tour. All in all a great way to spend a couple of hours on a wet and windy Sunday and my 21 year old son who had only had one glass of whiskey before in his whole life is converted.

Had an enjoyable visit to the Midleton Distillery recently. A friendly staff member checked us in and we proceeded to start the tour in a very impressive building. Video introduction to the Jameson distillery was informative and our guide was knowledgeable throughout the tour and spoke clearly for everyone in our group of 14 to hear and understand. We went through many of the old building used in the whiskey distilling process over the years and gained a good insight into how things worked at this distillery. We weren't shown any of the modern distilling or bottling processes which was pity and we then proceeded to the tasting part of the tour. We had a shot of a regular Jameson, a Spot and a 10yr old Redbreast for tasting and while this was enjoyable it felt as if we were rushed through it. A tasting experience of these quality whiskeys should be more relaxed with more time given to it. One of our party was driving and couldn't sample the whiskeys. There were no samples to give them to take away and thus missed out on the tasting. In the Tullamore DEW tour for example, they give a small dram to anyone who is driving to take away which is a very nice gesture. We then went through to the whiskey bar to with our two tickets to order our premium drinks and we could two from a regular Jameson, a Redbreast 12yr old, a Jameson, Ginger Ale & Lime or a non alcoholic whiskey. We relaxed in lovely surroundings and did enjoy these tipples. A pleasant end to an enjoyable experience. We spent some time in the shop and purchased some items including a bottle of Very Rare 2025 which was not available on line at that time and some glasses. We were looked after well by some friendly and helpful staff although disappointingly there were no discounts etc for anyone having taken the tour. Overall an enjoyable time was had by us all, a little disappointing in some aspects with the overall tour length being about one hour and no real 'premium' whiskeys being tasted. I feel Midleton could do a little more for those taking the tour and it all felt a little bit rushed with no emphasis being placed on giving a 'premium experience' from a premium whiskey distiller.
