With your wine guide, learn about this terroir: its soil, its climate and about the winemaking process while visiting family-owned wineries and cellars. Discover the best of Côtes de Provence appellation and learn about the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault … and the complex art of blending. Guided by a wine expert, you will get a private visit of high quality wineries, including a “Cru classé” Côtes de Provence winery. This wine tour is a great opportunity to taste some of the finest Rosés from Provence but also powerful reds, and aromatic and lively whites.

What To Expect
French Riviera Wine Tours
You will meet your english-speaking wine expert guide at 9am in front of our meeting point (centrally located) in Nice. Your guide will drive you in a comfortable & A/C minivan accommodating up to 8 people maximum. Around 10am, you will arrive in the wine Region of Côtes de Provence. You will visit 2 wineries in the morning, get about 1h30 free time for lunch in a quiet village of Provence, and then visit a 3rd winery in the afternoon. We take you behind the scenes: From the winemaking & aging rooms to the bottling lines, you will see everything! Your guide will explain you about the soil, the climate, the grape varieties, the famous "terroir" but also the picking, pruning, green harvesting and many other subjects in a relaxed and educational way. You will taste some of the finest Rosés from Provence but also powerful and well-balanced reds, aromatic and lively whites. You will be back to Nice around 5pm to the same place where we met in the morning (starting point).

5.00From the time of booking, they were very meticulous. On the first day I booked, it didn't run, but they introduced me to other dates and answered my questions quickly. I’ve been on so many tours, but I’ve never had such a warm reception. The tour itself was perfect. Three wineries offer a variety of wines with different characteristics. It should make your trip to Provence fun. We encourage you to participate.

5.00Pick up was easy, the hour drive was made wonderful by Laura’s conversation and explanations of the wine country. It is a full day, we visited 3 wonderful vineyards, with excellent tastings, discussion of the wines, wine making process and unique aspects of each stop. We were so happy with the experience.

5.00We had a lovely December wine tour with Lara into Les Arcs Sur Argens. Saw three wineries of various sizes and outlooks, from traditional to almost experimental. We tasted about 20 different wines of all types. All of the wineries made excellent rosé as you’d expect but the real finds in my opinion were the unusual or uncommon wines made in ways that we had never seen. Provence does it differently than anywhere else and Lara was encyclopedic in her knowledge of all the techniques and all the wines we had. She never talked down to us and her enthusiasm and lively personality was infectious. She took care of all of the details of shipping the wine we bought back to the US. Well worth the money, lovely day trip out of Nice.
