We had limited time in Quito, and while this is a long excursion, it was well worth it! Our guide, Rasu, was fabulous! Personable, knowledgeable, and a great ambassador for the region and the country. Cotapaxi was hidden by clouds when we first visited the park, but revealed her beauty later in the day. Quilatoa was an amazing spot. The walk down toward the lake was relatively easy, but the return uphill was quite strenuous, due to the altitude.

Excellent experience with Andres and William to enjoy the Cotopaxi (climbing to the refuge) and the lagoon of Quilotoa (going down to the lagoon) in a day. It is an excursion that requires a certain physical demand given the trekking required and the altitude at which it is done. Highly recommended to make the most of the time. Highly recommended despite the price, which is quite high.

Wonderful experience - Andres was a great guide - very knowledgeable. Santiago was a great driver for this long excursion. The volcanoes were spectacular - we were very lucky with the weather. Lunch was terrific local food - muy bueno! My only caution would be to be prepared for very winding twisty roads up to the second volcano. Quillatona. Worth the long drive full of switchbacks at 14,000 feet altitude - spectacular views. Just be prepared if you get carsick.

This was such an exhilarating experience Definitely not for the weak hearted - but so worth it. I had the most attentative and fun tour guide, his name is Alirio, his English was exceptionally and his knowledge and sense of humor was amazing. He was very patient in explaining and letting me have the best experience of things I wanted to try during my tour. 100% recommend The views, the experience, the thrill, the live in the moment of seeing such amazing natural world creation is beyond anything I could've imagine This needs to be on everyone's bucket list from visiting the Cotopaxi national park, to visit a lagoon in the crater of Quilotoa and then hiking down and kayaking and horseback riding. Until now it feels so surreal

After nearly two weeks of nonstop travel and activities we were exhausted, but Cotopaxi and Quilotoa were at the top of our list of things we wanted to do and so we continued on with our planned activity. We really appreciated Pedro's flexibility with us cutting some things short and mainly hitting the highlights. The included Ecuadorian lunch was great. We enjoyed the background information that was provided about the indigenous community around Quilotoa and wished we'd had the energy to interact more meaningfully with them, explore the Saturday market, and fully experience the cultural aspects of the tour. Overall, we loved the tour and Pedro and the long drives provided us some much needed time to rest while experiencing parts of Ecuador we wouldn't have seen otherwise. It was a great endcap to our travel, although we'd recommend others schedule it earlier while you still have the stamina to take full advantage of what this day tour offers.

This is a long day, but it gives you the chance to see 2 amazing places in Ecuador if you’re short on time. My guide was Pedro, and he was outstanding! He was very personable and made the trip comfortable and fun. He has a lot of knowledge of the areas you visit on this trip but also other areas I asked about. I learned a lot about Ecuador during my trip and got to see many parts of it. Going through the Andes was a wonderful experience, and Pedro’s driving on all the tight curves and steep hills was perfect! Definitely recommend this trip

Ayrton (sp?) and Santiago were the perfect pair for our trip to Cotopaxi and the Lagoon. Ayrton was amazing with his dialogue, and answered any of our questions. Santiago was very helpful to me, since I was recovering from a hip replacement, slower than anticipated when we booked this tour. Our lunch at the indigenous town was exceptional. The day could not have been better, and I thank Ayrton and Santiago very much.
