Pedro met us at our hotel on time and we harassed off to Cotopaxi. It was a beautiful drive unfortunately because of low clouds our visibility was restricted. We stopped and fed alpacas and met a family raising guinea pigs. We could barely make out the base camp but it was fun to see. We drove to Quiloto lagoon and looked down on the lagoon but it was very foggy. We had a delicious Ecuadorian lunch. After lunch we attempted to walk the path down to the lagoon but the path was muddy and slippery so turned around. We headed back to Quito. Pedro was knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend him

What a great day! We were nervous that, being the rainy season, we wouldn’t be able to see much of Cotopaxi, but the clouds parted just as we arrived! What a gorgeous sight, and a nice walk around the lagoon. Then we had a nice drive to Quilotoa, which might be the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Pedro was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable about the plant and animal life and answered our many questions about Quito and Ecuador. He made pit stops when we needed, took lots of pictures for us, and gave us plenty of time to explore so we didn’t feel rushed. 10/10 recommend!

My guide Pedro was so knowledgeable and helpful. I had a wonderful day seeing some really exciting scenery. The Cotopaxi volcano was magnificent and we saw condors flying around the summit. I would highly recommend this tour so that you can be immersed in the beautiful countryside of Ecuador. And special thanks to Pedro for all his interesting facts - I learned so much!

The tour covered Cotopaxi and Quilatoa, which was long day, but we had a great time. The weather wasn't great, so we only say the lower snow-covered part of Cotopaxi, but it was the rainy season, so not surprising. Diego was excellent, very knowledgably, friendly and made it a great day despite the weather. He was patient and flexible, allowing us to visit a few smaller locations on the day, despite those detours meant that he got back home very late after an early start. The car was very comfortable and the views on the road between Cotopaxi and Quilatoa were beautiful. I'd definitely recommend Diego as a fabulous guide and the trip for the scenery and cultural experience.

We had a private tour with our guide Diego. He was on time picking us up and his car was clean and comfortable. Our first stop was a viewpoint of Quito. I believe he said Quito is about 87 km long. We then hot the road and stopped at a gas station to pick up coffee and snacks and use the restroom. Of you have a hard time adjusting to the high altitude, eat something sweet. We then headed to Cotopaxi which was about 1.5 hr drive. We stopped at the entry point to pay the entry fee which is covered on the tour cost. We then drove through the park to see Cotopaxi. It was a bit foggy so most of the top of the volcano was covered. We then reached Laguna de Limpiopungo and walked around the lagoon. The landscape and wildlife was beautiful. It started to rain as we were leaving so our chances of see the top of the volcano before leaving was gone. Off we went to Los Andenes de Zumbahua, an indigenous village. The landscape on this drive which I think was between 1.5 - 2 hrs was quite nice. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative, it was raining. So when Laguna Quilotoa was not at all visible. The rain and fog completely covered it. Of course mother nature will do it's thing and we can't do anything about it. More reason for us to return during the dry season. We had lunch in the village and really enjoyed it. We then decided to head back as the rain started to get heavier. As part of the tour there are 3 other stops .. one to an art gallery and the other two I can't remember. We decided we didn't want to do that so we headed back to Quito which is a 3 hour drive. Again, Diego was great, he explained a lot history to us, he was very nice and professional, always ensured that we were comfortable. He also took great photos for us. Highly recommend him!
