  The entire day was an unforgettable experience. Darío was our guide and provided so much information throughout the day and was so welcoming, kind, and helpful. The horseback riding alone would have been worth it but then the hike to the base camp was also something I will never forget. It was very challenging but Darío was there every step of the way. I would highly recommend this tour.

  This was an excellent tour. The tour guides were knowledgeable and attentive. The horseback ride went through beautiful country, the hike was exhausting but exhilarating, and we got to see parts of the park with very few other people. We were also able to purchase beautiful ponchos from a small shop at the back entrance of the park. A BIG thank you to Jorge and Dario for making this a memorable experience!

  Was a lovely day - the horseback ride was great and truly unique, the hike didn’t happen due to strong winds, but we still drove up the mountain and got to experience Cotopaxi. Dario is super kind and knowledgable. He and his family are from the area and it shows. My only issue was that he was on his phone a lot, even when driving. Other than that, it was a great experience!

  The highlight of this tour was the hour horseback ride around Cotopaxi national park. The majority of us did not have any experience and it was a smooth ride with well trained horses. Jorge was a great guide. The hike to base camp was a bit difficult with the altitude, but doable.

  The view during the horseback ride was beautiful through hills, streams and valleys within the park, the horse i was with was a shy one and loved to snack along the way, but well trained to follow our guide through the terrain and needed little direction from an inexperienced rider like me. We had little sneak peaks of the majestic Cotopaxi, didnt see the full mountain because it was a bit cloudy, but clouds can roll in and out quickly, you sure can never know what angle of beauty you see because of the different microclimates as you ascend and descend the mountain! Jorge was great, easy to communicate with on WhatsApp and got us well prepared for this day trip with what we needed to bring. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to during the drive. I sadly didnt make it all the way up to base camp because this altitude in Cotopaxi is no joke! (Personally should have done more yoga in my life.) Jorge was very patient and understanding with me for all the stops i made along the way. If you book this tour, please enjoy more views when you reach base camp for me! And if you end up like me, we tried anyway and still enjoyed today!
