Join us on a guided walking tour and uncover the hidden gems of Craiova, a vibrant city where history meets culture. This experience blends fascinating stories, elegant architecture, and the charm of Oltenia’s cultural capital.
Highlights: University of Craiova (former Palace of Justice), Marin Sorescu National Theatre, the Old Town with its bohemian vibe, English Park, and City Hall with the Administrative Palace (1913).
At the end of the route, choose between two options:
Cultural Route – Mihai Viteazul Square, the Administrative Palace, and the Art Museum inside Jean Mihail Palace.
Historical Route – Hotel Minerva, the Băniei House (1699, the oldest building in Craiova), and St. Demetrius Metropolitan Cathedral.

What To Expect
The tour begins with the University of Craiova. Built in 1896 as the Palace of Justice, it now serves as the main University building – an architectural and cultural symbol of the city.
National Theatre Marin Sorescu Craiova
The history of Craiova’s National Theatre began in 1850, and during our tour we’ll uncover its fascinating stories.
