Qualmark Accredited Cromwell Classic Car Wine Tours is unique among Central Otago wine-tasting tours. This is no whirlwind mini bus tour crammed with strangers but two to four friends, family, or associates traveling in a Classic Mercedes 300SE. The Cromwell Basin has a remarkable story largely untold, overshadowed on most wine bottles by two words-Central Otago. The fact is the Cromwell Basin has by far Central Otago's largest concentration of vineyards and wineries. Over 40 at last count. World-recognized Pinot Noir as well as excellent Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon plus many more. All are produced from vines growing in the schist soils of the Cromwell Basin

More than a wine tour, it’s an experience, from the old school immaculate Mercedes, Bob our host was clearly highly regarded with the wineries we went too and knowledgeable to the area, highly recommend to anyone looking looking for a fun day out.

We absolutely loved our day and tour with Bob. He was welcomed warmly to every vineyard we visited so his reputation is clearly a great one. He was friendly and picked fantastic wineries! I would highly recommend his tour. We hope to treat Bob to a glass (or bottle) of wine when we make the move to NZ!! Fingers crossed it’s soon!

We had a great trip with Bob in his classic blue Mercedes. A great story teller & some excellent wine tastings. The four of us enjoyed a unique experience. We are wine savvy and felt Bob was able to reflect this in the chosen vineyards we visited. Lots of laughs and a great relaxed feel. Highly recommended. Bob was fabulous very knowledgeable about the area, wines, and wineries. It was a perfect day with great conversation and wine recommendations. He developed the tour around our interests in wine. Had an excellent lunch with wine pairings. Would highly receommend.

This day we will never forget! and would do again in a heartbeat. As part of our Honeymoon, we had the most amazing day with Bob, his passion for the region, its Wines and his fabulous Mercedes made this NO ordinary Wine Tour! we were not just taken to the well-known Vineyards instead, we were treated to some wonderful boutique Vineyards where we experienced not only the tastings but met the Wine Makers themselves and it was fascinating hearing their own individual stories, it gave us a whole new appreciation and education of the entire process. My husband was a Whiskey only man prior to this and now has been converted! Cannot wait until the next time, thanks again Bob.

We had a great day with Bob and his marvelous car. We have learned a lot from Bob about this beautiful region. The vineyards we have visited for the wine tasting were great choices and we enjoyed a very nice lunch. Bob was also very helpful to organize the ground transportation for our dinner as I have drunken too much wine tour drive afterwards myself.

The tour was really excellent, Bob was a very good guide and introduced us to some excellent winemakers. It was the highlight of our New Zealand holiday and will be remembered for many years. The lunch too was a memorable experience with wines perfectly matched to some superb dishes of food.
