What To Expect
Sliema
We depart from Sliema Ferries and cruise through Sliema Creek. Sliema Creek is a very busy waterway, with harbour cruise boats operating from it that are constantly plying in and out with tourists. The advantage of mooring on this jetty is that it's located at the centre of Sliema, a very busy area with all kinds of shops, restaurants, bars, etc., which is a short walk from the jetty; therefore, before or after the trip, one can enjoy a walk along the beautiful promenade, have a meal or a coffee in the many eateries in the area, or browse through the many shops located at the centre of Sliema.
Manoel Island
Passing by Manoel Island. Manoel Island, formerly known as Bishop's Island or the Isolotto, is a small island that forms part of the municipality of Gżira in Marsamxett Harbour, Malta. It is named after the Portuguese Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena, who built a fort on the island in the 1720s. Manoel Island is a low, rather flat hill, shaped roughly like a leaf. It is located in the middle of Marsamxett Harbour, with Lazzaretto Creek to its south and Sliema Creek to its north. The island is connected to mainland Malta by a bridge. The whole island can be viewed from the bastions of the capital, Valletta.

4.00This harbour tour was really interesting. It was a nice way to see the city from the shore. I would have liked a bit more history but maybe that’s not for everyone. Views were great, staff very helpful. It was easy to find and the upper deck was available for an even better view in the sun.

2.00Cruise excellent but TripAdvisor process useless. There was no info on which boat, where to go and what time to be there. The email said it would be on the ticket but it wasn't. Took a lot of effort to figure out what to do. Luckily found a phone number in the small print. Just go to sliema and book direct.

3.00Sat on right side of boat which gave best views. Commentary sounded monotone and recorded. Not engaging. Kids aged 12 yrs fell asleep. Great views of harbours but after a while looked very similar.

5.00Lovely and informative experience, a combination of enjoyment and educational experience. They views from the water to the land are precious and give the Malta experience a different perspective. I enjoyed the 4 pm departure because it merged into the golden evening light, beautiful!

3.00Dont go if you dont like to feel unsafe. Round the harbours was great but to get out to these you have to taravel across rough seas. It didnt look choppy at all but the cataram went crashing up and down. There were a lot od people which looked terrified and i who is a good traveller, threw up which was so embarrassing. The crew were great and cleared it up and tipped them for it, but again i found the ordeal so embarrasing. 24 hours later i am still feeing the motion. I really did feel it was very unsafe but the crew would know what they were doing so i suspect it wouldnt of gone ahead if it was

4.00We were uneasy about picking up at the arranged location. After waiting half an hour the bus picked us up. The rest of the circuit went according to plan. Great professionalism of the guide (Silvia), who at all times was watching us. It is a circuit that advised to do it in an organized tour, since otherwise it is very difficult to do it at the same time, due to the density of traffic and the need to coordinate bus and ferry.

5.00Didn’t have much time for sight-seeing, so decided to try this quick (90 min) tour. It was great, it gave mi a great perception of Valletta and neighboring towns and the harbor. I might pay a visit to some of them, time permitting. Checked out the names of some nice yachts that I’ve seen from the far away, from the Upper Barrakka Scenic Garden…
