The ride from the cruise port is long and boring and you will spend a lot of time stuck in traffic but it is what it is. 1st stop was the Batu Caves and they were worth the trip. I have been to dozens of Buddhist shrines over 18 years and this one was by far one of the most unique. Be prepared to climb several hundred steps to see the amazing views both inside the caves and outside from the top. We were there about 45 minutes. We made a brief photo stop at the Royal Palace and the National memorial monument and then toured through KL seeing all sorts of interesting buildings. It is hard to believe that this was not even considered a city until 1972 and now has buildings that rival New York. We stopped for lunch in Chinatown on our own. We made a final stop at a large temple and drove back to the ship about 3:30PM. We could have stayed longer but everyone was hot and tired and ready to hang it up. Our guide was helpful and easy to understand. One of the best tours for the money in 20 day cruise.
