2.00There was very poor communication from the organizer on where exactly to meet the shuttle. When we finally arrived at the location, had to wait for another group that also did not know exactly where to meet. Also, one of the horses collapsed on the way back to the stable and the young rider was injured. They did not have proper first aid to treat the injury.

2.00The horses are well cared for and healthy, however, if you're an experienced rider you'll know that where they're placed in line matters. My kid's horse didn't like the horse I was riding and kept kicking out when she got close. Dangerous for both me and my kid. I'm an experienced rider, so when I tried to get my horse to pull back a bit so it wasn't so close, she got pissed and literally bucked several times in protest. NOT for inexperienced riders! One little girl who claimed to know how to ride panicked right off the get-go and freaked out the moment the horse did anything more than a slow walk. The poor horse had it's neck cranked back so hard it was uncomfortable to look at. What didn't help the situation was that the guides spoke limited English and offered little in the way of actual instruction except to yell "no pressure!" or "(horse's name) go faster!" How is someone unfamiliar with how to ride supposed to know what any of that means? The ride was nice, but be prepared to eat a LOT of dust. You WILL get filthy on this ride.

5.00My daughter did this excursion and absolutely loved it. She felt comfortable and confident the entire time, which says a lot. The horses were calm, well cared for, and clearly treated with respect. The pace wasn’t rushed, so she was able to enjoy the scenery and the experience instead of feeling pushed along. Riding along the beach was peaceful and memorable for her. She came back relaxed, smiling, and talking about it nonstop.

The crew is highly knowledgeable about the horses, one of the crew members knew exactly what to assign each rider to a specific horse. Our head tour guide was sensational, she explained with detailed directions. Everyone at Hoofs of Love was wonderful and amazing! My family and I would love to try the sunset ride on the next trip.
