Take a short and scenic 30 minute drive south of Byron Bay to Ballina (transfer not included), where you will board our vessel. Our friendly Marine Biologist will share in-depth knowledge of the area & marine creature encounters we experience. Learn about our local pods of dolphins, their habits and behaviours. We are so sure you’ll spot a dolphin that we offer a free return trip if you don’t see one on your first Dolphin Cruise!

The Wharf is a 30 minute scenic drive, south of Byron at Ballina. Please meet on the Lance Ferris Wharf directly in front of Wharf Bar & Restaurant, 12-24 Fawcett St, Ballina. Someone will come to collect you and take you down to the boat.

1.00Booked a family Christmas trip and the nite before got sent an email From trip advisor that we had to sign a pre wavier before being allowed on the dock! The link to the wavier didn’t work went to the actual tour company they didn’t have any wavier online and emailed trip advisor they didn’t respond. On the morning we had no idea if we were even allowed on the dock without this wavier called the tour company and they had an emergency number that they didn’t answer it and you couldn’t leave a message either so had to wait till trip advisor was opened and by then we were running about 10 mins late and the email said they will wait for no one so by the time trip advisor finically sent us a useable link the tour had begun and they offered no refunds for there error and either did the tour company bother companies were in the wrong and no one cared we were out over 500 and a family experience!! Don’t book with either company

5.00Great experience! I was with my teenager and 8 year old, little one was a bit seasick due to waves while boat engine was stopped to watch the dolphins, but staff were great and handled it well, I forgot to give him medication before the ride which they did advise in advance. It was amazing watching dolphins free in the ocean compared to theme parks, an unforgettable sight for me and my family! Boat was well maintained, clean, modern life jackets, excellent narration by on board marine biologist! Definitely recommend!

5.00Great day out on the cruise to view the dophins. We (8 of us) were only in Byron Bay for the one day and although Out of the Blue Adventures do not normally operate on the day, they were superb with accommodating to our schedule. Very interesting and excellent information provided about the dolphins, and a lot of care was taken by the crew to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone during the cruise.

5.00Well run operation with high quality boat, on time departure/arrival, safety vests and information provided, experienced & knowledgeable crew (our guide was a marine biologist). We saw lots of dolphins, some pods were easily as large as 30-40 dolphins! Two hour cruise along the coast went by quickly, we had 2 young children in our party and they thoroughly enjoyed it! Would highly recommend.

5.00What an amazing experience! It felt like everywhere we looked we saw a dolphin or a whale! Dolphins even swam with the boat for about 10 minutes, giving us amazing photo opportunities. This cruise was so much fun. The boat is huge, new, comfortable, safe and fast. Kid friendly too. We were lucky to have a marine biologist, Alice, on board and it was great to have such a knowledgeable person proving expert commentary on what we were seeing. Dean also expertly navigated us about the place, getting us close to the marine life and occasionally opening up the throttle for a bit of a joy ride. The tour length is just right. You definitely get your money’s worth. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

4.00Nice and educational trip on the coast of Ballina, Lenox Head and Byron Bay. Staff were very friendly. Just to be purist, length of the trip should be indicated. And if something is offered in the package, it should be provided so client know if they have to bring it. For example, water and sunscreen was meant to be supplied so I did not bring them with me on the trip.

5.00I came with a bunch of colleagues as a pre-Christmas get-together and it did not disappoint!! We had the loveliest day out on the water with you and we cannot thank the staff enough for their warm welcome, amazing marine knowledge, and friendliness towards our group. I have since recommended this trip to many family and friends in the area and people visiting from overseas. Thank you for looking after us so well - you guys rock!!!! Merry Christmas x
