Panama is the only country in the world where you can experience both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean in a single day. Your tour begins with a scenic drive of about one hour to the Centennial Bridge, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Gaillard Cut—the narrowest section of the Panama Canal—and the Pedro Miguel Locks.
Next, visit the Miraflores Locks Exhibition Center to learn about the fascinating history of the canal and its operation over the past 100 years.
The journey then continues into the heart of Panama City, where you’ll explore the historic Cathedral, important monuments, and the vibrant downtown district. As you walk through Casco Antiguo, admire the stunning blend of Colonial and Neoclassical architecture that defines this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To finish, the tour takes you along Balboa Avenue, where you’ll witness the striking contrast of Panama’s modern skyline, home to some of the tallest and most impressive buildings in Latin America

Owner was accommodating to our schedule and Hotel drop-off. Our local guide Arcenio was very knowledgeable and kept us dry from the rain. Also recommended a great restaurant to end our trip.

What an experience. Daniel our tour guide was extremely friendly, generous with his time and had so much knowledge of his country. Unfortunately, it decided to rain all afternoon in Panama city, however Daniel tried his best to show us around this great city. You get plenty of free time at the Panama Canal, but just bear in mind Panama City is the other side of Panama so there is a lot of time spent in the car/van too as the traffic once in Panama City can be horrendous. Overall, the highlight of our tour was having Daniel sing us a Panama song. We would highly recommend this tour to see as much of Panama as you can, but make sure you ask for Daniel when booking as he certainly made this tour special!

If you get Milton as a tour guide, you're good. He knows how to tell you a lot about the locks and the origin / course of the country Panama. We learned a lot from it. He discusses with you what choices you can make regarding time division (whether there are ships in the canal or not, and where) he showed us not the ones in the city but close to colón. That was the best choice. As a refreshment there is water, local beer, and I even got rum. It is a 1-hour drive from one side to the other. This is going fast. The driver's driving pretty fast. I get that we want to use the time as well as possible but if we had wings I think we would rise up 🤣🤣😂 muchos gracias Milton.

This review is very overdue as our trip was in April 2025, but I do want to recommend this excursion to anyone who wishes to not just get a tour of Panama City and the Canal, but a full history lesson! Our guide Milton picked us up right on time, it was our family of four with two kids 5 and 10, three friends we were traveling with and 2 more from the cruise that joined us. Milton knows exactly what he is doing... first he took us to the canal to buy the tickets so that we wouldn't have to wait in line later. On the way there he took out a map and started giving us a full on history lesson, and quizzing us too! He is so knowledgeable that I truly believed he had been a history teacher or professor before becoming a tour guide. He certainly loves what he does and loves to share his knowledge with the tourists that visit his city. After getting the tickets for the canal, we drove back to downtown panama city for a walking tour of the "casco viejo" the historical part of panama city. He also drove us around the newer section to see how much Panama City has grown. Milton never rushed us, but was very clear about the timing and explained we had to be back in the canal by a certain hour. After the walking tour we went back to the canal, by then the line to get tickets was probably half an hour long. We quickly got in the line to get in because we already had our tickets in hand. Behind us arrived about 6 cruiseship excursion buses, hundredths of people. We went straight to the imax movie that is part of your ticket, he waited outside for us. After the movie we went to the viewing area of the miraflores locks, and we were able to see two vessels lower in the lock in front of us and advance. Throughout this entire time, Milton was explaining what was happening. It was an excellent excursion and he got us back to the port with an hour to spare to all aboard. The port in Colon has a very nice mall, with a super cheap and huge store where you can find just about anything. Perfect if you forgot to pack something or ran out of something. There are tons of options when looking for excursions for the port of Colon, but trust me, this is the one you want. You will not regret it!!!

Our family really enjoyed this tour. The tour company had excellent communication and made it easy to find them when we got off the ship. We were hesitant booking outside the cruise line, however this company is great to work with. Milton was our tour guide and he was fabulous. He was very conscientious of the time to get us to all the locations and back to the ship on time. We stopped at the canal first to get our tickets, which saved tons of time when we arrived back at the locks to watch the ships come through. Downtown Panama City was beautiful and definitely worth seeing. This tour was an excellent combination to see in a short amount of time.

Fun, interesting, informative and well paced. I highly recommend this tour and our tour guide. The timing for the movie watching the ship arrive through the canal and our arrival back at hour ship were perfect.

Milton met us on time and planned our whole day ensuring that we got to see the ships passing through the locks as well as giving us a tour of the city. Despite the traffic, we still had time to shop in the mall near the ship. Make sure you bring snacks as there was no time to stop to eat. Truly a great experience.
