  The best experience in Salvador if you want to get in touch with the magic of Afro-Brazilian culture and learn about their ancient roots. The night of capoeira and drums was truly exciting and for me also moving, especially when we were involved in the final dances. I also attended the samba lesson the next day with my partner which was very fun and interesting for me who has been dancing for a few years.   Capoeira is challenging for sure, yet it’s a great challenge for anyone exploring unique wellness activities!! The session not only covered a lot of capoeira moves that involved many gymnastics and quick thinking, it also covered a lot of historical aspects of capoeira and how the founder of the institute (Mestre Bimba) played a role in capoeira. It’s fun and definitely worth doing, especially in such an iconic and significant location for Salvador!

  First I did the one-hour capoeira course. It's very physically demanding. I'd rather we spent more time learning and rehearsing basic steps than kicking in intense heat, with the fan off. Perhaps I misunderstood the principle. However the presentation that followed with samba and drums was great. Super nice atmosphere, they involve the few spectators (one 12n at most). It really feels like we're seeing a private event where these Bahian people are showcasing their culture.

  The Capoeira, Samba & Drums Show was nothing short of electric — a vibrant, high-energy journey through the soul of Bahia that left us all inspired. The percussionists were masterful, blending traditional rhythms with thunderous intensity, creating a pulse that set the tone for the entire performance. The capoeira segment was a mesmerizing blend of athleticism and artistry. The performers displayed incredible control, strength, and fluidity as they spun, flipped, and dodged in a dynamic dialogue of movement. Then came the samba — a joyful explosion of color, rhythm, and expression. What made the show truly exceptional was how seamlessly it wove together tradition and performance. It was a bold, beautiful reminder of how rhythm, movement, and spirit can transcend language and bring people together. 5/5 — An unforgettable night of music, movement, and joy.

  A great experience. The authenticity of the program, the stunning atmosphere and the rousing music: 100% recommendation!!! I was skeptical because I had doubted that it is not a tourist event/show but that is true and makes the visit even more valuable and special!!!
