• Don't pay for the tour guides meal

  My tour guide was Guermo (not sure if I spellled his name correctly). It was myself and another solo traveler on this tour. It was going well until we stopped for lunch at a restaurant that Guermo recommended. The three of us order our meal and when the guide finished his lunch he left and told us that he would be waiting by the car. The other solo traveler and myself assumed that his meal was free because he patronized the business. We'll when we got the bill his meal was included with ours. I told the other traveler that I wasn't paying for him because he walked out and assumed we would pay. Had he stayed and not try to get over on us i would have gladly paid his bill. The other traveler ended up paying his portion. When we returned to the car I confronted him and told him paying for his meal was not included in our tour package and I didn't appreciate that he walked out and left us with his bill. He said he was sorry and offered to give the other traveler his money back. The traveler said he didn't have to pay him back. I told him had I paid, you would have given me my money back. Other than that the tour was ok for the price.

  This was everything we were looking for in a tour of the island. Joel was very accommodating and entertaining and gave us a lot of information on the local sites. We are able to go to the places we wanted and omit the ones we didn't.

  Fantastic experience... or rather experiences because they are so many things together. Rory a very nice guide. Too bad there's some confusion with prices. From the site said a series of events some included. But there was nothing included. You had to choose between the various paid things all quite expensive. Especially the beach 120 euros in 4 for 4 sunbeds without umbrella all crowded. Not even strong marble prices

• A perfect day exploring the land of Roatan

  This was a fantastic way to explore the island “your way”. After several days of diving, snorkeling and the beach were less attractive to us, but we did want to explore some of the activities named on other organized tours. We were promptly, warmly but professionally greeted by Jordan, “JJ” who was perhaps the best part of the day. We had some ideas of where to go and JJ made it happen, telling us about the islands, towns, culture, food and hidden gems we didn’t know to ask about in between. We went to the Carambola botanical gardens, learned about trees nuts and fruits and took a climb up the mountain trail for a gorgeous view. Then we visited AJs monkeys and sloths with great 1:1 animal encounters. Next we headed to Roatans only Brewery, Roatan Island Brewing Company, for some great beers and an amazing lunch. Headed to the rum factory for some rum and rum cake tastings and purchases just before driving to west end. We did some walking, shopping and had some amazing coffee and dessert at Crazy roastery just before heading back to our resort. We loved the great energy, flexibility, education and a comfortable ride that JJ provided for us.

  We had the absolute best day exploring Roatán with our tour guide, Garfield! From the moment we met him, he was friendly, welcoming, and proud to share the beautiful island he gets to call home. His knowledge and love for Roatán made every stop feel special. He brought us to AJ’s where we got to see sloths, guinea pigs, monkeys, and even the country’s native bird—the macaw. After that, he took us to a local café for coffee before heading to Macaw Market for locally sourced coffee beans and delicious homemade chocolate. I even got to try the drink Honduras is famous for, the Monkey La La—though we laughed because I kept calling it the “Monkey Ladder.” Garfield also showed us charming local fishing villages, peaceful beaches, and scenic lookouts perfect for photos. We browsed souvenirs from local vendors and made a quick stop at Roatán Rum Company before heading to the West End—a vibrant, can’t-miss stop with its mix of beach bars, shops, and laid-back island energy. We grabbed drinks at Sundowners and Bananarama, soaked in the views, and enjoyed a quick swim in the crystal-clear water. To wrap up the day, we visited a local shop that sells an island spirit called Gafiti. Couldn’t have asked for a better day—or a better guide.   Dulphus was our guide, and he was amazing. Made sure we got to see what we wanted plus had great recommendations. Very informative and pleasant to converse with. Thanks to him, our time in Roatan was very enjoyable.
