We offer a completely private and intimate experience to travel Ireland. Joe is a lifelong native of Kilsheelan in county Tipperary, but will be happy to accommodate all requests to visit towns and villages that may have a personal connection no matter what part of the country you would like to travel to. The off the beaten track route is something that only a well travelled driver will be aware of also, and the journey is always entertaining.

The Burren
The Wild Atlantic Way goes on, driving along the Burren, an area made up of 550 sq km. Home to 70% of all wild flowers in Ireland, and a protected area of conservation. You will see how diverse the landscape of Ireland is when you drive through the Connemara region of west Galway. Get a close up of the turf cutting in the bogs, and get lots of photo opportunities along the rivers and valleys of this very mountainous and rock filled countryside. The village of Cong, John Wayne bridge, and locations of the Quiet Man movie will be visited, along with Kylemore Abbey. Drive through the Doo Lough valley, with views of Ireland's only Fjord, Killary Fjord. One night in the pretty county Mayo town of Westport.

You will drive eastwards and drive through the centre of the country, a stop at the town of Athlone which has Ireland's oldest pub, Sean's Bar situated on the river Shannon. Your last night will be in the county Meath town of Trim, which has one of Ireland's largest castles, and was the location for all the castle scenes in the Mel Gibson movie, Braveheart.

5.00My family of six—myself, my younger brother, my younger sister, and our spouses—have just returned from a wonderful 9-day trip to Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, and Shangri-La, and we would like to express our sincere appreciation to our tour guide, Mr. Zeng (曾晶). I found Mr. Zeng through an internet search after reading many positive reviews about him, and I am very glad that I chose him. Our entire journey was thoughtfully tailored to our preferences, with helpful adjustments and recommendations from Mr. Zeng along the way. We wanted a trip that focused mainly on scenic spots for photography and local food experiences, and he planned it perfectly for us. Our itinerary included Stone Forest, Erhai Lake, Chongsheng Temple, Balagezong, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Songzanlin Monastery, Potatso National Park, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and Blue Moon Valley. Yunnan has many old towns, and at first we planned to visit only a couple of them. However, Mr. Zeng strongly recommended that we also explore Kunming Old Town, Shaxi, Shuhe, Baisha, and Lijiang Old Town. Each of these old towns has its own unique character and charm, and they were truly worth visiting if time allows. Unfortunately, we had to miss Baisha due to time constraints, but the others left a very memorable impression on us. Couple of additions along the way are the boat rafting in the valley of Balagezong and the local culture performance cum dinner in Shangri-la. These turned out to be a wonderful experience and became some of the top highlights of our trip. On the last day, Mr. Zeng also brought us to a local market where there was a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, seafood, and local specialties. This was the place where we bought flower tea, dried mushrooms, and nuts at very reasonable prices, as the market mainly catered to locals. It was a great experience and a nice opportunity to buy authentic local products. Throughout the journey, Mr. Zeng did much more than simply introduce the places we visited. While we were on the road, he shared many interesting stories and insights about the culture, history, and daily life in China, which was truly eye-opening for us. He also showed great care and thoughtfulness. For example, he went out of his way to buy Chinese medicine for my brother-in-law when he had a stiff neck, and he even helped to arrange packed lunches for us when we were running short of time because of our studio photography session. This was truly one of the most enjoyable vacations my family has ever had. Yunnan is a highly recommended destination, not only because of its breathtaking scenery and rich culture, but also because of the wonderful experience that Mr. Zeng brought to us throughout the trip. His professionalism, warmth, flexibility, and dedication made a big difference and gave us many beautiful memories that we will always cherish. 5.00There is no better way to explore Ireland. Joe’s knowledge of Ireland is second to none. We got to explore amazing sites seldom visited by the large tour companies. His suggestions for restaurants and pubs were spot on. Both Joe and Laurie were incredible to work with and both made our friends trip one full of great memories and experiences. We highly recommend.
