Chippewa Creek Gorge Overlook
We’re approaching the Tinkers Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook. Here, we’ll get a great look at the beautiful Tinkers Creek and the gorge it runs through. After the glaciers melted and rivers began carving into the landscape, water slowly eroded layer after layer of soft shale… Eventually leaving behind sharp, steep cliffs. Note: The tour is over 37+ miles long, with more than 67+ audio stories, and takes about 3-4 hours per tour to complete. New, Lifetime access, no expiry. Use it anytime, on any trip, as many times as you want.
These falls are known for their fine, gentle cascades… which resemble a bride’s lacy veil. Here, an offshoot of Tinkers Creek tumbles 30 feet down a shale gorge. This waterfall is so lovely you’ll want to put a ring on it! We can reach the falls by walking a short 500 feet from the parking area coming up soon.

5.00We recently took the Cuyahoga Valley mobile app audio tour, and it completely transformed our visit. We downloaded it beforehand, so it worked offline the whole way, and driving in our own car let us explore at our own pace without worrying about a fixed schedule. The audio stories were genuinely interesting, and a couple did overlap into the next one once or twice, likely because we hit the next trigger quickly even while following the speed limit.

5.00What a great tour! Loved the option to start from the north or the south! (We made the decision that morning based on our travel plans! Allowed us to complete this tour on our way back from a morning trip!). The guide was on point with a combination of history, story telling and local facts! Also appreciated the call outs of the timeframes for the optional side hikes/trips. As it was late in the day, we had to pick and choose what could be completed with the remaining daylight! This is our second time using self guided audio tours. Will 100% use this service again!

4.00Very confusing at the start. The directions to the starting place required me to U turn to start but did not tell me that. I explored three directions at the start location before giving up and going back the way I can into the start point. Then the program just started. I never told me to U turn to start. A simple compos direction at the start would have solved the problem.
