Our Lady of Czestochowa / The Black Madonna
Częstochowa is a place known to many people around the world, primarily due to the presence of the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa, the icon of the Black Madonna, which is located in the monastery of the Pauline Fathers at Jasna Góra. The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (August 15), attracts every year about 100,000 pilgrims to Częstochowa every year from Poland and abroad. The Chapel of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Jasna Góra is the epicentre of the Shrine.
Sanctuary of Divine Mercy
Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy in Krakow Lagiewniki is a very important place for the divine mercy cult. Above all, it is closely connected with the life of saint Faustyna Kowalska and the famous Divine Mercy Painting. It consists of complex of the beautiful, neo-Gothic, monastic buildings of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. It also includes the modern, Roman Catholic Basilica, canonized by John Paul II in 2002. This ellipsoidal building has two levels and it can accommodate up to 5000 people. It also has the 77-meter-high viewing tower and together with the main building resembles a big boat. Since the remains of Sister Faustyna were moved to the Basilica, it became very famous place around the world. Thanks to the Divine Mercy Sanctuary Krakow is the destination for plenty of pilgrims every year. The Sanctuary is certainly one of the most important centers of the development of the Worship of Divine Mercy in the world.

5.00The Black Madonna is a beautiful religious icon tobe seen if you are religious or not. It is about a 2 hr ride from Krakow. Dawid our guide was awesome. He showed us the best way to see the icon. A great day thanks!!!

5.00The driver was great. He picked us up and gave us plenty of information to help us make the most of the day. He even walked us around and showed us where to go. He didn’t rush us either, which made the whole experience much more enjoyable. He also helped me find an English Mass and really went above and beyond for us. The experience itself was amazing, and I highly recommend it.

5.00Dawid was our driver/tour guide. He was an excellent driver and provided water for the ride which was considerate. He toured us through Czestohowa because without him we may have missed the stations of the cross around the Monastery and a few other sights. He was extremely knowledgeable about this sight.

5.00The private tour was truly an inspiring and spiritually enhancing experience. It was truly worth it for devotees of the Black Madonna and Divine Mercy and for all the Catholics as well. Thomas was a wonderful guide and driver. He shared so many insights and surprises too. This is one of the best tours I had here in Krakow,Poland.

5.00We had a wonderful day in this pilgrimage tour with help of Thomas our driver. Thomas was very patient and knowledgeable, he gave us clear instructions on where and what to see (highlights) which helped us get around the churches we visited easier. Thomas gave us a chance to explore on our own and we did not feel rushed at all. We were able to attend mass at the shrine of Black Madonna and at the Divine Mercy Shrine. He also took to us to Center of Pope John Paul II Pontificate as a side trip. Also gave recommendation on where to eat traditional Polish food and we had a wonderful dinner at that restaurant he suggested which was very close to our hotel, I highly recommend this tour

5.00Tomasz from “Poland is beautiful” confirmed the pickup time the night before and he showed up on time the next day. He explained about the tour and what to expect before we left At the first stop, we arrived when the service started . He told me to wait and join the service as the Black Madonna is veilled after the mass . I was glad I did , it was a beautiful mass . I also had a change to try local food nearby on his recommendation . On the way to the chapel of Devine Mercy, he included the John Paul İİ centre . He gave plenty of time for me to explore both sites , I was so happy to join this tour , I would highly recommend it.

5.00Tomek offers an incredible tour at a GREAT value! He picked me up directly from my hotel, and got me to the Jasna Gora monastery just before the image the Black Madonna was veiled until later in the afternoon; it would have been a huge disappointment to miss seeing this image. Tomek gladly included the John Paul II Centre along w/ my tour of the Chapel of Divine Mercy. No hidden charges, and his willingness to allow me time at each site, was greatly appreciated. Understand, that this is not a tour but it is an informed and delightful drive to these amazing destinations!!

5.00The tour driver, Tomasz Borkowski, was on time, offering options to stop to grab a drink or use the restrooms, and more importantly, tweaked my itinerary so that I could visit the Shrine of St. John Paul, which is next to Divine Mercy Shrine. Totally recommended!
