• Don’t buy the food package.

  Don’t waste money for the dinner. The food and service was terrible. They stuffed up our group. We had paid for 5 Asian menus plus 1 Vegetarian for me. They completely forgot about me and kept insisting there were only 5 despite showing them the 6 tickets. They eventually got me some sort of meal. The salad was ok but the soup, rice and vegetables were cold. The spring rolls were hot and the only edible thing. The EU meals for the 5 were very poor quality. Warm soup with no taste, piece of steak which had been cut in half to stretch it out and half piece of small carrot and mushroom. Dessert was a rubbery crème caramel with watery sauce. The music was so loud it became unbearable after a while. My 15 yr old grandson was still hungry so I gave him my cold rice to eat and the next morning he was violently ill and had to miss his family excursion. I was mildly sick but I barely tasted the rice. We were the only 2 people to eat the rice. The actual boat ride was good. The people sitting near us did not buy any food but were given a plate of watermelon and a bottle of water just as we’re were given 2 years ago when we did the river cruise by ourselves but we wanted to treat our daughter and her family to a nice evening. Not a very pleasant food experience at all. Luckily our travel agent managed to get me a refund for my meal as they obviously forgot to cater for me.

• Dance party rather than a dinner cruise!

  We booked a dinner cruise that included a four course meal. The salad was nice but the soup was cold, people swarmed to the edge of the boat where we were seated so it felt like we were being stood over as we tried to eat our meal! The poor people sitting next to us were surrounded by so many people one of them had to eat their meal standing up! What’s worse the people that came to the front of the boat were smoking while we were trying to eat! and they also made it difficult to see the dragon show as it was a large group of men… The music on board was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. It was so loud that the people seated next to us had to move because it was so loud it was (according to the gentleman) “painful” the cruise was more of a party cruise rather than a dinner cruise!

  From the moment we booked Thang Nguyen made sure that we were taken care of and kept communicating- before and even after we were dropped off back at the hotel to confirm that we arrived safely.   This was fun lil thing to do.....nice meal...hour boat ride....dancer and music.... The actual dragon show is lackluster from the boat.....You need to be ON THE BRIDGE by the dragon head... that where its more impactful. The fire and water ...up close....but the boat is if you wanna see it from a distance....

  The dinner was actually pretty great and the show was very entertaining. Too bad it rained halfway through the boat ride but it was still an excellent experience. Very much a party atmosphere so if you have an infant just be aware it might be too loud for them to nap.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Poseidon. We booked the cruise only, so we arrived at 8pm. A fruit plate and watermelon drink was on our table. You could also order other food and drinks for a price. The trio that provided live music was excellent. They played the entire cruise except when the dance troupe performed (2-3 times). Everyone wore beautiful costumes. We were the last boat to leave the dock, and the last to return. We were able to take amazing pics of the river, other cruise boats and of course the dragon breathing fire and water. The experience exceeded my expectations.

  Food was awful not sure why they try and cook European. Maybe just cook Asian local stuff. Over priced. Dancers lasted 2 songs and the Dragon Bridge Show was non existent no water or fire and minimal lights??? Not sure why??? The only water show was the light to medium rain. Cruise didnt go long but glad it ended after being charged for drinks and the average entertainment and food. Only shining light was the dj. Avoid this cruise people

  What a great evening! We had the European dinner combo with a table on the bow of the boat. The food was excellent as was the service and the entertainment, which consisted of live local musicians and dancers was very enjoyable. Unfortunately the bridge, after an initial impressive display, then struggled to produce any further jets of flame. But the views in general, with all the buildings and bridges lit up was fantastic anyway and we really enjoyed the trip, it was well worth the money.

  An evening weekend cruise down the Han river to see the Dragon bridge is must do when visiting DaNang. There are many other operators providing similar service but Poseidon is probably your best bet. The boat looks newer and bigger than most others, and it has ‘wild’ lighting and sound system that will blast upbeat music throughout the ride. If one is not keen to take the cruise with full dinner package, there is the choice of the cruise with drink option, even that ticket comes with complimentary fruits. There is also a la carte menu onboard if one wants extra drinks, snacks or even a whole meal. Apart from enjoying the light up of buildings on both side of the river and the bridges. The cruise package also includes short dance performances as part of the entertainment. The entire cruise takes about an hour and it’s a great way to see the cityscape from a different perspective. Would recommend booking tickets early to avoid disappointment especially during peak travel season, and during the wet season, best to wear a waterproof hoodie as it may get windy and wet with unpredictable spells of drizzle.
