We had a wonderful time enroute from Konya, first stopping for an hour-long visit at the Sultanhanı Caravanserai, and then upon arriving in Cappadocia, visiting the Goreme National Park, Kaymakli Underground City, and high quality ceramic factories in Avanos and Nevshehir. We were lucky to have Tarik as our guide, who not only knew the history of each place that we visited, but also the culture and customs of the people who were living there (and/or had lived there in the past). We ended up extending our tour in Cappadocia by an half-day to squeeze in a few extra locations (including Pigeon Valley and Zelve Open Air Museum - both absolute must-sees). On our request, Tarik also introduced us to a wonderful restaurant in Avanos by the name of Bizim Ev, where we tried the authentic pottery kebab. Overall, we were very impressed with Selene Travels recommendation and logistics, and with our guide in Cappadocia, Tarik.
