Damajagua Waterfalls is a public protected park; due to regulations, the hike and waterfall activities are not private and are conducted in groups with certified local park guides.

Damajagua Waterfalls Private Tour – Explore the first 7 waterfalls of the Damajagua River, a beautiful natural area protected by the Dominican government. Choose Your Experience: Family-Friendly / Slow Hike: ~20 minutes of walking through uneven terrain and rocky creeks. Optional slides and jumps. Suitable for kids, elderly, or guests with mobility/health limitations. Adventurous Hike: Longer, more challenging hike with mandatory slides and jumps. Walk over uneven surfaces and higher elevations. Avoid jewelry or expensive gadgets. Includes: Pickup & drop-off, water, sodas, lunch, and guided safety support. Note: Full 27-waterfall hike is a separate excursion and not included in this package. Guests should wear appropriate footwear and bring swimsuits and towels

5.00Had a great experience. Jose and Nelson were awesome. They took care of us very well. Catered to our needs. Even modified the itinerary to accommodate our requests. Lunch was awesome. Hot salsa was the best ever.

5.00We were very happy with this tour. Gerson from Edgar Private Tours was fantastic. Communication and transportation was good and we got to the Damajagua waterfalls quickly and handed off to the falls guides. We were the first group of the day (and the only ship in port that day), so we got to do one of the falls twice. The much larger cruise excursion group was just showing up when we were leaving, I was happy we booked separately! It is a good amount of walking, up and then down, but there are frequent stops (probably too frequent IMO). The falls themselves are fun, though there are only 4 of them where you slide. The experience of dropping down the ladder into the canyon is memorable! I wish there were more falls because they are fun! We were done with the falls ahead of schedule, so Gerson gave us some options and we decided to go into town. We went to the gem, chocolate and coffee factories/stores, Umbrella Street and the main square. We had been outside the port area before on a previous trip and it was nice to have a local guide. Lunch was chicken, rice and beans at a local place where the locals were lining up. It was very good! All and all, this was one of the family favorites from our cruise where everyone had a good time.

5.00This was an awesome experience made easy by Edgar Private Tours. They pick you up just outside the cruise ship terminal and drive you straight to the falls and get you going quickly! When it’s done they are waiting for you, feed you and get you back to the ship. Top experience!

5.00We had a great time. Anderson met us at the port and took us to the waterfall park. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. At the waterfall park we were given safety equipment and put with another group. The hike was mildly rigorous but there was a lot of stops so it was not too bad. The waterfalls/ slides were tons of fun and the rainforest was beautiful! Anderson even stopped for us on the way back so we could get a great picture at umbrella street!

4.00Great trip with lots of interesting and entertaining information from our guide Jose. Everything was easy and well coordinated. The team was very responsive and helpful when we requested last minute to delay the trip by a day due to an illness in our group. Our family of 9 enjoyed the hike, waterfalls and a delicious lunch. Our 81 year old grandfather did the full hike (with rest breaks), slides and jump at the end. Only downside was the number of people at the waterfalls and lining up during the hike due to the groups from the cruise ships. We thought we would be ahead of the crowds with an 8:30am pickup from our hotel but were in a group at the falls of over 150 which caused some slow downs at each waterfall and slide. We also couldn’t hear any information on the flora. Suggest if there are large groups within the waterfalls paying for the photographer as they keep the groups moving. Jose was great but he wasn’t the guide within the falls.

5.00We had a fantastic day with Gerson! Don't hesitate to book this tour! He accommodated all our requests - we packed a lot into one day. Waterfalls, fruit plantation, lunch, coffee and chocolate tastings and a bit of downtown. The shortened trip to the waterfalls was perfect for our group, and we plan to do the entire waterfall trip next time! The highlight was a special birthday cake for one of our group. We couldn't have asked for a better day or a better value!

5.00This tour group is very professional. The vans were clean and well maintained. The drivers were professional and safe. Our tour guides were exceptional. After we did our first waterfall tour, we enjoyed it so much that we hired this company to do a buggy tour and take this to the top of the mountain two days later. We also been used them for our airport transfers at the end of our vacation. I highly recommend.
