A flickering candlelight into the darkest recesses of Chester’s 2,000-year heritage, illuminating tales of plague, poltergeists and religious persecution amongst others.
It’s a 90-minute walking tour, hosted early evening, and a storytelling stroll with plenty of dark humour and Horrible Histories-style tale. I learned so much from the stories David shared, he is extremely knowledgable about Chester’s history and has a very warm delivery. 5.00Really enjoyed this tour this evening. David is very knowledgeable but didn't overload us with information. It was just the right amount. Before the tour we walked the walls but David showed ilis a whole other wide of Chester. I would recommend this tour to really get to know it.

5.00David catered for a personal and interesting tour building on knowledge I had of Chester and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Informative. Fun facts. Horrible histories. This tour has it all and I look forward to my next one. Really good value for money, timings were spot on, with 2hours skipping by like half an hour. I was lucky enough to get the full experience all to myself and David was the perfect host. Will be booking again. Suitable for the whole family as the tour caters to all interests.

5.00I have been on the Dark Chester tour several times now and cannot recommend the tour enough always interesting a d in depth knowledge of the subject. I have also purchased the recently published book also which I would also highly recommend.

5.00We both really enjoyed the Dark Chester Walk, discovered places we hadn't seen & learnt alot about the history of Chester. David was a very knowledgeable & interesting person to listen to & we found it fascinating listening to the ghost stories, it really bought the city to life. A great way to spend a Saturday evening & we finished off with a drink in The most Haunted Hotel after listening to David's account of the place. Thank you David 👻
