Uncover the darker stories Dublin has to offer on this guided tour through the city's sinister side. This experience explores murder, torture, grave robbing, brothels and the unsettling beliefs that once shaped life in the Irish capital.
Our journey begins at Dublin Castle, where beneath the architecture lies a brutal past of punishment and fear. Discover the tools of torture once used here, hear about priest hunters, and learn why the Upper Courtyard earned the nickname the Devil’s Half Acre.
Venturing deeper into the old city, we enter an area once known as Hell. We explore Dublin’s world of brothels, witches, dark rituals and the infamous Hellfire Club.
This walking tour of Dublin offers a unique way to explore the city’s history through its cobbled streets and churches. Ideal for people looking for dark history and an authentic local experience.

This was a fantastic tour! We love taking ghost tours in different cities, and I loved that this was a walking tour instead of the bus offered in other options. Kieran (I think that was his name? I may have forgotten!) was so entertaining and engaging. He went beyond simply ghost stories to tell us more about the various nefarious goings on in historical Dublin. Loved that we got to see some of the most beautiful and important sites in the city and learn more about them. Though things got a bit dark, my 12 year old absolutely loved it. A healthy dose of humor helped. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone visiting the city!

Really motivated guide. A lot of info that would never have been obtained without this tour. Focus on personnages central to Ireland - not (solely) reliant on history. All in all lots of fun!

Our guide Killian was really at the top: kindness, humor (black), acting, dark stories of Dublin... all in an English accentless easy to understand. To do! Our guide Killian was on the top: Nice, black humor, acting skills, Dublin Dark histories... in an english without accent easy to understand. I warmly recommend.

We had our tour with Ciarán (sorry, that’s probably spelt wrong 😅) You were absolutely fantastic! We loved the stories and the experience. The length of the tour is great, you get to see so much of Dublin while learning the history too! This is the best ‘ghost’ tour we’ve been on! (And we go on one in every city!)

We really enjoyed this tour! Henry did a great job of beaming us into the dark history of Dublin. Thanks to his loud and clear voice, even the non-fluent English speakers of our group could follow along. For anyone considering to book this tour: Do it but be aware that the stories are gruesome!
