Daufuskie Island
It begins with a boat ride from Shelter Cove Marina to the back side of Daufuskie Island. The ride is an important part of the tour! Along the way we will stop for dolphins and other wildlife, plus view and discuss the sites on Daufuskie and the neighboring islands that are best seen from the water. Once on Daufuskie, you'll get on golf carts and take a tour of the historic, undeveloped side of the island. We stop at all of the significant historic sites and artisan shops of Daufuskie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Daufuskie Island. Our guide, Captain Kelly, is a great story teller and we learned a lot about the island community, past and present. We were also treated to multiple dolphin sightings there and back! A much better experience than renting a golf cart on your own and reading info from a pamphlet.

Our experience was excellent! Captain Kelly was our guide and did a great job navigating our boat trip over to Daufuskie Island. He provided some great history about the island and could tell that he was very passionate about the low country. We debated taking a ferry and doing an island tour on our own, but are glad that we chose to do this tour instead. It was well worth the price paid. I would highly recommend this tour.

We are so glad we decided to do this guided tour instead of venturing out on our own. Captain Dean was fantastic!!! So informative and knowledgeable and he brought great insight and energy to the tour. We especially appreciated the respect he has for the people and history of Daufuskie Island. I would highly recommend this tour. It’s worth the price.

This is a combination boat tour / island tour. You get a beautiful boat ride with the captain explaining history and layout of island and surrounding areas. Once on the island you realize how serene and beautiful this low population island really is. You see unique historical buildings and see some local artisans. A great half day adventure to be sure. Captain Bayard knows his history and was able to answer every question anyone threw out at him!

The whole tour was very informative. Our guide (Bayard) was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw dolphins on the ride over and loved the great blue herring that was on the dock to greet us when we got back.

We were visiting Daufuski Island for the first time. This tour provided a great overview and a ton of historical information. Our guide, Boo, was funny and very knowledgeable.
