Observing rhinos at 20 meters without barriers and for as long as desired is an extraordinary experience that justifies the movement. I expected to be able to take a drive in the reserve to see other animals but it was not possible. The journey to and from Kampala was, however, horrendous with aggressive driving and no respect for limitations.

Fabulous encounter with the only Southern white rhino in Uganda. Setting off on foot with a ranger, you will find yourself within feet of these giants. Seeing a huge male as we came around a bush was a jaw dropping moment. It can be done as a looong day trip from Entebbe but the sensible way is as a stop on the way to Murchison Falls.

It was breathtaking to be close to the rhinos. I acknowledge and thank Simon Peter at the Ziwa Sanctuary, for tracking the rhinos with us, and for the insights and knowledge he shared. Most importantly, I am deeply grateful to Musah, for his professionalism, and for being a wonderful tour guide and driver, who safely took me there and back to Kampala. I thank the management of this tour company for also having Musah to take me to the Uganda National Mosque on the way back to Kampala. I highly appreciate Musah’s knowledge and expertise on Ugandan history and culture.

A really memorable day out with All Seasons Adventures Uganda to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The rhino trekking was peaceful, well-paced, and genuinely moving – amazing to see these animals in such a natural setting. The guides were calm, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely safe throughout. Very grateful to Musah, who organised everything so smoothly. He was thoughtful, professional, and a pleasure to travel with – nothing was too much trouble. He also arranged a fantastic trip for us the following day to visit both the equator and the source of the Nile in Jinja. Everything ran perfectly. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a well-organised, relaxed way to see more of Uganda.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible rhino adventure tour I recently experienced with All Seasons Adventures. The drive from Kampala was lengthy but the guide made it interesting with the detailed information. Upon reaching the sanctuary, I was provided with a pair of gumboots to wear before the trek and assigned a ranger who led me through the rhino tracking activity. This was a wonderful experience which taught me a lot about the rhinos and also gave me a chance to take plenty of pictures. Thank you to my guide Khalid and the reservations team for the good communication. I can't wait to plan my next adventure with you!

I will not be doing a tour with All Seasons again. Walking among the rhinos is beautiful and special, but that is only one hour long, and if you’re doing this as a day tour from Kampala, you will be driving 3 hours each way, so make sure you get a car with AC with a different tour company. All Seasons took me in an old vehicle without AC, not even vents or windshield wipers were working. I was very uncomfortably hot for more than 3 hours driving back when the sun was out. This in spite of opening windows, which meant the sun directly on me and inhaling all the fumes from the road. Moreover, on the way back it rained heavily, so either I roasted further or I got wet. Also, know that rhinos are only active 8-10am, and then again 4-6pm. So if going in the morning, you have to leave Kampala by 5:30am the latest. However, ask that they gas up the car beforehand. After they picked me up at 5:40am, first we went to a currency exchange place and then to the gas station. So we left Kampala at 6:00am instead of 5:30am. The customer should not be having to wake up early to do things the tour company should prepare for ahead of time! Additionally, the driver didn’t want to fill the gas tank fully at any time, so we stopped at a gas station, in scorching heat, with no AC, at least 3 different times. The driver and reservations staff are very nice people, but I would look for services elsewhere and make sure to ask about the car conditions.

I had an amazing time! The guides were super friendly and fun to spend the day with and I got to see a lot of rhinos. My only recommendation is to make sure to budget a little extra time for Kampala traffic.
