What To Expect

7:00 – 7:30 Get picked up in your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or our office – No. 106 Tran Nhat Duat, then travel via the 5B expressway to Hai Phong, stopping briefly at V52 in Gia Loc. In Hai Phong, take the sea-crossing road from Tan Vu to Lach Huyen port, enjoying scenic views of Dinh Vu port. Travel to Cai Vieng from Got port by ferry.

10:15 – 10:30 Reach "CAT BA PEARL ISLAND." Drive on a scenic road between the sea and the green mountains of Cat Ba National Park.

5.00Our trip with Serenity Premium Cruise at Cat Ba Island was amazing from booking to drop-off. The team stayed in touch and made sure the pickup was smooth. Our guide, Hậu Nguyễn Công (Mr. Happy), was exceptional — full of energy, humor, and genuine care. He made sure everyone stayed cheerful throughout the cruise, shared fascinating stories about Lan Ha Bay, and even captured amazing group photos with great enthusiasm. Even though it rained for a short time and we couldn’t visit a few places, the kayaking and beautiful views made the trip unforgettable. The cruise offered plenty of comfortable seating to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. Overall, a memorable and well-managed experience.

5.00The tour was well worth it. Our director, Bin, was comical, entertaining, knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us interesting insight into Vietnam culture and history. Everything went smoothly and the boat was impressive and food delicious. It was a beautiful area and away from the busy tourist areas. Great tour and director.

5.00We enjoyed a wonderful day on the water on the cruise ship Serenity, with Happy as cheerful and caring tour leader. Floating, kayaking and swimming in a relaxed Mood. We had a small boat and a clear group. And a delicious lunch! Highly recommended!

5.00An amazing day!!! We never expected such an experience! The organization is impeccable, the timing perfect, the boat is pretty, clean and comfortable. The meal was delicious 😍 A wide variety of dishes, in copious quantity. We ate better on the boat than in many places in Vietnam, that is! The palm of the day goes to our adorable guide and facilitator: Mr. Happy! A person of incredible dynamism and kindness, funny, full of information about this bay he loves so much (and it feels good!). Mood was really warm, almost family friendly, in a small charming group. We were very, very far from cruises like mass tourism, which I was very apprehensive. You will certainly meet other boats while kayaking or swimming, but it is a beautiful and touristic place so to be completely alone is surely utopia... I can only recommend you to go through Serenity Cruise, you will not be disappointed!!!

5.00We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this tour, the boat and the staff especially our tour guide Happy. we are not usually the kind of tourists that do tours but our parents insisted and it was totally worth the money, it does not feel like the classic rip-off tour. We chose to be picked up in Cat Ba Town and dropped down in Hanoi and there was no problem, the boat is pretty well maintained with everything being clean, and the food was so much more than we expected. I’ll recommend to do this tour if you really enjoy water activities as that is the main thing you’ll do.

5.00Very well organized tour departing from Hanoi. Our tour leader, Happy, name omen, was amazing. Always smiling and enthusiastic in explaining the various activities we would be involved in. We saw the floating fishing village, we kayaked together with Happy passing inside some caves, diving and sliding from the boat. Everything beautiful and well organized, including lunch and snack. Added value Happy who told us a lot of trivia about life at Cat Ba making the experience even more magical.

5.00It was a very good experience. The trips were great, always comfortable and we were entitled to history explanations on the part of the guide. The meals, wonderful and the view is not even mentioned!! Staff always ready to help, everything very well organized. Our guide, Tinh, had immense culture and was flawless the whole trip. He took us lots of pictures. I came with friends and highly recommend!!

5.00Very good experience. I found this tour by chance on GetYourGuide and highly recommend it. The team is punctual, attentive and well organized. Tinh, the "guide" for the day, has been to the small care. The price includes a lot of things: transport from Hanoi to Hai Phong/Cat Ba, cable car, meals on board the cruise ship, kayak, bike tour on the island, tea/coffee break... Having made Halong Bay last year, I have to admit that I greatly preferred this expedition. Thanks to the whole team. I recommend!
