Mtskheta
Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities in Georgia, founded by the ancient Meschian tribes in the 5th century. Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, it is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was the capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. However, Mtskheta continued to serve as the coronation and burial place for most kings of Georgia until the end of the kingdom in the 19th century.

1.00This was not a “tour”. This was a guy - Misha (only know his name from the booking!) - who picked us up at our hotel (late) and quite literally just drove us to only 3 of the 4 stops mentioned in the “tour” and dropped us off at each site. We did not go to Gori Fortress which was supposed to be a stop. He made no offer of water all day. No conversation, no description, no telling us where we were… He spoke very little English and made zero attempt to talk. It was complete silence from min he picked us up to the end of the day. A Bolt driver would have offered more. I’ve taken loads of Viator tours all over the world and never had one that met zero expectation. This met zero. The “guide” didn’t go with us to any of the three sites. Stopped the car - pointed to the entrance and said/gestured he would be waiting when we were done. We did not get what we paid for and cannot recommend that anyone falls for this sham.

5.00Our tour with Giorgi was excellent. Giorgi is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and really added to the experience. There is nothing that Giorgi doesn't know about the history of Georgia. The Stalin Museum was fascinating and for us was the main attraction of the tour. We were not disappointed ! I highly recommend this tour by Giorgi to anyone who wishes to learn more about Georgia and Stalin.
An excellent excursion, thanks to the organization and, above all, to the professionals.

5.00Very good planning of the excursion. Excellent driver (which is quite important in this country). Exce guide (Lika). The planing was perfect: distance efficient, good places to visit, nice place for lunch. Y didn't feel in a hurry, but you could enjoy the visits. The driver was prudent, very professional and al searching for our comfortability. And as for the guide, she worried about our preferences, gave full explanations (both about the visited places and the country in general) and answered to all of our questions. All this being so kind and empathic. Thanks for all!!
