Lake Tana
In the morning travel by private boat to Ura Kidane Mehret Ethiopian Orthodox Church, located on the Zege peninsula around Lake Tana in Ethiopia. The most attractive church in the Lake Tana region founded in the 14th century although the present circular church dates from the 16th century Its interior is decorated with numerous murals painted between 100 and 250 years ago. The church has its treasury in a nearby outbuilding, which contains the richly embroidered robes of Negus Tekle Haymanot and his wife Laqetch Gegre Mehdin, as well as the crowns of Emperor Yohannes IV, Emperor Tewodros II, Negus Tekle Haymanot, and Emperor Tekle Giyorgis. then travel to see hippos at the mouth of the Blue Nile River. Blue Nile Falls
After lunch, travel by private van about 40 minutes to the Blue Nile Falls on the Blue Nile river known as Tis Abay in Amharic, meaning "great smoke". It is on the upper course of the river, about 30 km downstream from the town of Bahir Dar and Lake Tana. The falls are one of Ethiopia's best known tourist attractions.The falls are estimated to be between 37 and 45 meters high, consisting of four streams that originally varied from a trickle in the dry season to over 400 meters wide in the rainy season. 5.00Our family had a great experience with Papyrus tours. We visited Bahir Dar during Christmas vacation. Staring from the day I booked my trip with 'Papyrus .' we were getting timely instructions and updates from their team. From the time we reached Cochin airport till or return we were well taken care of by Papyrus team especially by our tour manager Mickey He was like a family member making us all families feeling the same affection towards him. 5.00Me and my family was part of the 3 member Lakle Tana tour conducted during 15th July to 19th july. I must say that it was indeed an enjoyable and memorable trip with Fortune..Starting from Visa ,the flight, logistics transportation, hotels, food, sight seeing all arrangements were executed with proper time management and precise planning.
