Enjoy a day trip from Rome to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast by minivan with tour assistant. You will be picked up directly from your hotel or apartment in Rome. In Pompeii you will visit the ancient Roman city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with a local Guide, for an immersive experience. Continue along the Amalfi Coast with a stop in Positano, where you can have Lunch, Shopping and take spectacular photos. The tour continues to Amalfi, the oldest of the Maritime Republics, to admire the Cathedral of St. Andrew and taste the famous local Limoncello. This small-group excursion is ideal for those who want to combine history, culture and breathtaking views in a single day.
During the winter period, which runs from 1 November to 28 February, the tour includes first a visit to Amalfi, with free time to have lunch and taste Limoncello, and then a stop to take wonderful photos of Positano (in low season all shops and restaurants are closed).

Archaeological Park of Pompeii

Its narrow streets, full of boutiques and restaurants, lead to beautiful pebble beaches and crystal clear waters. A perfect place to relax and admire breathtaking landscapes. Stop for lunch (optional), enjoy some free time in this little gem nestled between the sea and the mountains and stroll through the famous craft shops where you can find typical handmade sandals, linen clothes and ceramics.

5.00This was an amazing day trip from Rome. Such a full day of beautiful views, rich history that you only really know a bit of coming in, and special time at the coast. Our driver Max with Mama Mia Italia tours was perfect. Patient, kind, informative, and helped deliver an experience that was beyond what I had even hoped for this trip. There is quite a bit of walking and it can be warm depending on the time of season you are visiting but if you have a full day to spend, you should hands down do this tour. The experience at the Pompeii archeological site was so enriching and fascinating. And the time in Positano may be my favorite time spent on this round in Italy for us. Amalfi was beautiful and a bit crowded but worth seeing. Absolutely thrilled we booked this.

5.00This is a wonderful full day of awe. Our driver Max was so kind and knowledgeable and took care of our experience like we were family. The Pompeii tour was phenomenal with Francesca. The archeological site was so much more than I thought going in. We attended at the start of high season so it was a bit busy on the road and at the coast but worth it. We had lunch in Positano that was fabulous and time to shop and walk around. We spent a little bit of time in Amalfi but honestly that was enough, it was beautiful but very busy. Worth seeing. It was a special trip. It is a FULL day and lots of walking and everything I had ever hoped for. Our daughters said “Give Max 5 stars, he was amazing!”

5.00We had an amazing day with Ali as our host and guide on this trip! We started at Pompeii and got a private tour, spending a couple hours seeing the amazing sites and learning the background of the history and culture from guide Francesca. Then, off to Positano for lunch and to Amalfi to explore. Throughout, Ali provided expert historical background and commentary. Massimo was a maestro on the roads - it’s an amazing drive up the coast and we had stops for pictures and views. It was a pretext day and highlight of our trip. A wonderful day trip and worth every penny!

5.00This tour was incredible. Our guide had everything sorted for us and kept us on schedule. Our driver was incredible navigating traffic and crazy roads. The day was well planned and executed flawlessly. I couldn’t recommend it more. Worth so much more than the cost! There is no better way to see Italy especially if you only have a short stay.
