Pompeii Archaeological Park
Pompeii (/pɒmˈpeɪi/) was an ancient Roman city near modern Naples in the Campania region of Italy, in the territory of the comune of Pompei. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area (e.g. at Boscoreale, Stabiae), was buried under 4 to 6 m (13 to 20 ft) of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Many of the inhabitants were also buried before they could escape. It is a 3 hours drive from Rome and 2 hours in Pompeii ruins.
Positano
Positano is one of the most famous towns of Costiera Amalfitana. It's a well-known holiday destination with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes. You can admire colorful houses painted shades of pink, white, and yellow and Medieval Saracen towers that dot the coastline, used to guard the town from invaders from the sea. 1 hours drive from Pompeii to Positano and 2 hours in Positano

Disappointing all round! This is not a tour as such but a driver of a van for the day. Our tour at Pompeii was with a usual large group not the 7 of us on the van. I’d booked a trip using a minivan hoping it would be more comfortable than a large bus, however the van was old and dirty and did not have effective air conditioning which made for a very hot, unpleasant trip. Our driver provided no commentary at all, nor did he think about the comfort of those in the van. No assistance provided re restrooms on arrival at Pompeii, no checking if anyone needed a comfort stop during the 4 hour drive back to Rome from Positano. I appreciate it’s a long day but the driver did nothing across the whole 12 hours to engage or help make people more comfortable. Not worth the price!

Absolutely stunning area and the sea and coast are amazing! The ride was treacherous in an exciting way, and our guide, Fabio, was a great guy who picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. It was fun to explore Positano and the Pompeii ruins were fabulous. Fabio even paid for us to use the bathrooms at Pompeii. Positano was crowded but we enjoyed shopping and sampling the local treats.

Great experience. I wish the 2 site could be stand alone. Would have preferred an option for staying at Positano for the day and visiting Pompii separately. Otherwise excellent trip.
