This full day, self-guided, small group tour to Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea will take you from Jerusalem to the top sights in the Judean Desert. With a hike around an ancient fortress, time to relax and float in the Dead Sea, and a visit to desert oasis, you won't be disappointed.

Important Update: Please note that due to maintenance efforts, parts of the Ein Gedi nature reserve will be closed until further notice.
Valid passports (Copy accepted), Hats, Sunscreen, Comfortable shoes, Swimwear, Flip-flops, Towels and Drinking water are required.
Towels can be rented (15 ILS) at the meeting point before departure.
Please note that this is a self-guided tour.

Take a cable car to the top of the Masada Fortress. Explore the ruins at Masada and enjoy the spectacular view across the Dead Sea to the Moabite mountains in Jordan.

5.00Outstanding day! We left crazy early to get to Masasa, and walked up the snake trail in the dark to see sunrise. After sunrise had just under an hour to walk around on top before heading back on foot. If you walk any mountain paths you should be able to do this, there's no altitude. Then a brief stop at Ein Geri nature center, no 2nd mountain you have to do but some short stair climbs, make sure you see all 3 waterfalls. Number 3 is the best! The Dead Sea is an experience you should do. Float and get in the mud and rinse off. Shmuel is great at this, he gets you there and tells you everything you need to know and reminds you of the schedule so you get back in time for everything else. You can leave your stuff on the bus so you only take what you need for that part of the trip. Bring some water for the day, can refill before and after Ein Gedi. This is an active trip with transport and instruction before each place, but no hand-holding during. Very happy we chose this trip, the scheduling and execution were both A+
