Dead Sea
A landmark natural attraction for those on a trip to Israel, the Dead Sea or ‘Sea of Salt’ is situated at the lowest point on Earth, 427 meters below sea level. At nearly 35% salinity it is one of the saltiest bodies of water on the planet, creating a harsh environment for animals - making it impossible to live there, hence its name. Its extreme saltiness also means that rather than swimming in the Dead Sea, people float on the surface

It is not our first time in Israel, but it was our first visit to the Dead Sea. Our transfer to the meeting point was fifteen minutes early and super friendly. Our guide and driver, Michael, was FANTASTIC. He kept us entertained and informed along the way, had a wonderful sense of humour, spoke good English and above all, was very friendly. Obviously it is a long drive to the attraction, but the bus is comfortable, and Michael is a great driver. We felt very safe. The Dead Sea resort itself needs some refurbishing and restaffing!!! As long as you ignore the rude women at the counters, you are sure to have a wonderful day.

Our tour Molly was great! She was so nice and funny, and had to do the tour in both French & English! The tour itself is definitely relaxing, you have plenty of time to experience the Dead Sea. I would definitely research the Dead Sea and what you need beforehand (lots of water, sandals you don’t mind getting dirty, food). Molly answered all our questions and gave us time to shop.
